Well I don't agree with Snakes crazy mofo 4/10 (I rated it a 7/10) I just think its "overrated"

I think the reason why it's "overrated" is that, movies today aren't quite as solid. I hate to even think like a movie douche, who only complains how "films today are bad!" because as a movie fan, I find that offensive. Every year has good movies, and bad movies.
While i'll admit, there has been a drop...but it's never hit rock bottom.
But I think if more flicks could just be "solid" instead of dumb fun, or entertaining, we'll be good to go.
That doesn't mean I want to kill off dumb fun, and entertaining flicks. I love those shlocky things.

Plus you also need to consider most movies today are up against "been there done that" movies. It's gonna be damn hard to make a better "Godfather" but it doesn't mean the film would be bad either.
I just have a hard time (especially in this thread) with all the 10/10 ratings. Some are hilarious.

But I guess, 10/10 movies for me mean the film has a set goal, and does it well. I'll be honest, more shlock gets a 10/10 for me, then anything else. Because the shlock is so perfect, it makes me so damn happy.
