Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance - 9.5/10

Just a few small things the I didn't like and not even worth mentioning but awesome fun game and still playing it again for re-play value!

Tomb raider 9.5/10.

I had high expectations after reading all the great reviews and was not disappointed.

Cant wait for the sequel.

Bioshock Infinite-5.0-5.0 What a beautiful, beautiful, game. Possibly my number one game of all time. That ending... amazing.

Bioshock Infinite Infinity/10

I have NEVER ever rated a game like that...but if any game deserves it, this one does for that damn, crazy, mind blowing ending. Had so much fun on the zip lines...Elizabeth was the perfect companion...visuals are stunning....it was such a beautiful and mesmerizing world and story plus the ending left me feeling like this:

Gears of War Judgement 8/10 Not quite as good as the others but another solid addition to the series. The MP is probably on par with part 2 but the worse thing being you can't plant frags. The end boss is the worst thing about the sp, and I loved aftermath being able to see what Baird/Col were doing in that part of Gears 3.

The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct 5.5/10 it was fun playing as Daryl and playing in that world but the rest of the game isn't that great. Herd mode would have been cool if it were a MP mode but its not so it takes fun out of that. Traded it in for $25 using that towards Bioshock.

Bioshock Infinite 9/10 Wonderful game thats a blast to play and has a story that'll keep you guessing until the end..and even then.

Dead Space 3 - 8.5/10
Already gone through on normal difficulty, going through again on hard/impossible. First two games were really good, franchise overall I like a lot. The weapons bench is a nice addition to the game with all sorts of mods. Doesn't seem nearly as hard, but them again this is the 3rd game so maybe I know what to expect.

Bioshock Infinite : 10/10

Like Inception meets Looper playing out in a version of Disney World that floats in the clouds.

Minor gripes with gameplay, mainly just that I wanted more of things, not that their were problems with what was there. I wanted more skylines for example because using them was amazing. Visually stunning, dealing with some pretty adult themes and heavy ideas such as religion, racism, patriotism, science morality etc. At it's core it's the same Bioshock we know, a solid shooter with mutant powers, but the gameplay is ramped up with the addition of Liz who is genuinely helpful and enjoyable to have to around helping and furthering the story. When she was taken from me, I wanted her back not because the plot told me to "rescue the princess" but because I wanted my teammate back. Add Skylines and tears to combat and it's refreshing and differant yet familar.

But the story, I doubt will ever be topped by a video game. It's right up there with the best in terms of all entertainment media. It will make you think not just about the game but life in general and that's as much as writer can hope for.

:goodpost: I will absolutely agree with most things he said. Easy 10/10 for me. I usually don't give out 10s for a game. Only other game I would give a 10 is OoT. Bioshock the gameplay was perfect for a FPS, but the story is what really was bringing me back. Going to start another run through tonight or tommorow.

Dead Space III

8/10

Finished the main campaign Friday morning, and played through Awakening on Sunday. I enjoyed the complete package--hate to say it though, but if the rest of the main campaign had followed Awakening's storytelling (which I'll admit was short) it would have been a much better experience.

With the Bench and weapon crafting utilization I don't really feel like doing a second playthrough (or New Game +). My weapons were pretty much maxed out by the end of the first campaign.

Tomb Raider 7/10

I really liked the story and Lara (and Sam). The games duration also took me by surprise. But there is things that did annoy me.

There was way too many gun fights. The games combat system is average to sloppy - so the fact you have fight upon fight can get a bit annoying. Especially near the end when your near blind because of the wind and you are surrounded by grenades, dudes with shields and machine gun fire & Lara needs more room to turn around than a bus because you are trying to Melee people.

The game would of been alot better without the QTE's! Theyre so precise. I didnt mind bashing square to open a chest or a door, or to hang on to something. But its the constant omg a circle is forming what do i press?! triangle! **** missed it. I know what it is this time - **** missed it again! Really ruined the pace of the action.

Also the clear signs all the way through the game of areas and places you couldnt access yet because you didnt have the tools. it made me a bit miffed that they were so presumptuous that id want to go through the entire thing again just to open a hut and get 10xp of loot. Im here now, im by the door so let me get in! If they were the hidden tombs, or entire new areas id understand wanting to come back to explore. But ive back tracked a little bit after i completed the game and id rather of not spent the time to get some of the stuff.

And in Tomb Raider games i always always hate the swimming missions, but i do like the fact she could swim. Here she cant swim at all... which caused some surprise deaths when i thought i could pass between areas, or if i didnt make a jump id be fine.

The scenery is lovely, its linear in the disguise of open world but i dont mind it that much because it pulls off the illusion well. The crossbow is a damn fun weapon. The motives of the bad guys is also something i could buy. No big sinister plan, just wanting to escape any way they can. You've got a feeling that Lara and crew could turn in to them if left long enough. The puzzles were also about right in difficulty. Not too long, not too confusing.

The entire game is practically a puzzle especially near the end. You are always using your rope, wall climb, jumping and shotgun to get anywhere. So im glad they didnt overkill the game with big frustrating messy puzzles inbetween.

Great game, i would recommend it. Theres too many things i didnt let slide when thinking about it to give the game above a 7. But thats just for my gaming style. I dont like to be took out of the moment by QTE's and i dont want to waste my time loot hunting when theres no bug payoff to it all. And if you insist on being an action heavy game dont make my character feel like she is on roller skates when trying to swing the axe.
