I'm playing thorugh the original Deus EX game released on PS2. Its completely blown me away. I dont care that its looks terrible compared to todays modern standard, it is telling a compelling story, and I have been encountering decent A.I.

It's an intelligent game which is dealing in Anti Terrorism issues, morals of modern society, conspiracies, + politics. It's set in the future around 2060, so the developers have a good oppotunity to get some good creative ideas into their Fictional depiction of a future setting.

So far the best thing about it is the story. I must be about half way through and so much has happened already, all down to the choices i have made so far. I'm in Hong kong now and am noticing how much Deus Ex:HR has borrowed from the original.

You can Aug yourself, hack cash machines, chose your own path, whether to take a stealth approach, or an all out Terminator-style Massacre, and every person and conversation is likely to have some affect to how the game plays out.

Giving this sucka a strong 8/10

Really well put together game. The story was a bit lacking, some of the parts that were meant to be revelations had me going "well...duh..." So it made Lara seem a bit unintelligent. I know this is when she's young and naive but still. She remains a very likeable character though. Gameplay was top notch. It needed more Tomb exploration though, those were my favorite bits, and there wasn't enough of it. Also, most were too easy to solve. Unfortunately there really isn't much replay value and the multiplayer is boring.

Awesome game! Very underrated. Better than CODBOII easy.

Half Life 2 Episode 2 - 9/10

There's nothing that I can say about Half-Life 2 that hasn't already been said. This series is awesome - still incredibly awesome despite its age. Episode 2 looks great in HD, and the cliffhanger ending came as a shock. I hope that Valve eventually releases Episode 3

Valve sucks and their PR is probably the worst in the entire video game industry. Their entire company would have been equivalent to "number 2" (aka. turd) if it weren't for the success of the Half-Life series, that made them into what they are today. They literally have no respect for the series or the fans.

Naw I actually played/beat the first one already. But on a sad note.. none of us might be playing the 3rd/4th games with THQ going bankrupt.

In regards to Valve and Half Life I actually don't see what the big deal is. I played the first one and half of the second and frankly I think they stink. The first one was confusing and I didn't understand half of what was going on. It's like it was made by stoned people.

Maybe I should give them another go as I think Valves other games are fantastic.

Really? Play them again. I think they have the best story out of any game. And the series is tied with the Fallout series as my favorite.

One of my first gaming memories I have is playing through it, and then playing through the Opposing Forces add on where you played through the game backwards essentially as one of the soldiers hunting for Gordon. I thought it was so cool when you got glimpses of him like you do of G man in the first one.
