Why are Man of Steel fans so defensive then?

Well I liked MOS alot and do you see me in their defending it? I don't feel any need to.

The thruth methinks is, that some of those nitpicks bother the people defending the movie because it's a nitpick to them as well but they don't want to admit it. It's like a little cut you try to ignore but it keeps getting torn back open and bleeding constantly. I think if you truely loved it unconditionally, you wouldn't even justify those people with an answer because you'd feel no need based on them being straight up wrong. But if you need to try to justify some sloppy writing to others, that's still acknowleging it's sloppy.

People always say to me, I don't care for Blade Runner, all I ever say is that's a shame.

Its the same thing, and its not IM3 centric, this happens with alot of movies. People don't like a movie and they can't even contain their criticism to one thread, they post the same stupid **** in multiple threads.

Probably because they know most of the people defending the movie will target the person and make it personal rather than being able to have a legit comeback or well thought out response to the actual issue they raise.

People do that for lots of movies. Last year people were saying Avengers shat all over TDKR and going on and on about it.

It's side picking and overhyping it beyond what it really is, it's not enough to call it good or great, it has to be nothing short of the greatest ot all time. It's whats known as being a fanboy.

That's why people proclaim a new movie every now and then as the best of it's kind blowing away all others, every year there's a new greatest ever

IM3 was a solid movie. Sloppy writing yes, but it wasn't a groan inducing movie. Why do people keep comparing movies to it? Because it was the largest grossing movie of the summer so far. No one is going to compare their favorite movie this year to After Earth.

The problem is you get certain people that don't like something and it seems to become a vendetta to them. People will ***** about certain movies or tout their movie over others movies liked and they'll do it in multiple threads.

Its basically spamming thats just let go, so as you read through threads you read the same statement in threads over and over.

You're experiencing that in the IM3 thread, i've experienced in in a thread for a movie i like and others who like a movie have experienced it in other threads that gets taen over by haters. It sucks i know.
