I'm still a bit surprised at the price for that one. Much like the Thor I'm not seeing where they place the extra $40 on it.

I can see the extra effort involved in Machiko, Thor not so much.

I don't know, she's abut the same height as Ivy with Change out heads like Catwoman, and about as much detail as Red Sonja. None of which are priced as high. Just weird how they come up with their price points these days.

Agreed, I expected $400 since that seems to be the "standard" but they keep going up above and down below that line and it goes from product to product. You can't really call a price any more but it seems like everything is between $360 and $440, larger pieces excluded of course, but that's a wide margin to price things, especially when the figures generally are of similar size and materials.

I don't think Doom looks as detailed as Thor. Thor's base is actually quite detailed, too. Not justifying the price, but I can see how Doom is priced cheaper.

Which isn't modern anymore... the new modern look more closely resembles the classic appearance. This suit lasted 4 years.

"Modern" Batman is considered the blue and grey costume...which most definitely isn't modern.

Spidey's black suit only lasted 4 years...it's a classic now. This Thor armour could be the same, you never know.

The armouring on the arms works in the movies, so I don't see how it can't in the comics.

I like the new Ribic costume, too. I would have bought that.

It will still sell out. They could have made it 460 and it would have sold out. Just not as quickly.

It's a fantastic looking statue. I also think it'll sell out eventually. I normally like classic costumes for my characters but the modern costume looks so kick ass on Thor. It also lends itself to mixed media much better than the original one does IMO. I LOVE fully sculpted pieces but I can honestly say this piece just may be THE BEST use of mixed media on a piece I have ever seen. I'm awed every time I look at the piece. I wouldn't want anything different on the piece. Not even the left hand. Well...I guess if I'm going to be honest, SSC could have come up with a better EX feature for the piece. Obviously it's pretty lame. However, I can say that I LOVE everything else about the piece.
