Wondering if there's going to be more for the EX than just the axe. Who knows ...

I would guess an empty left hand.

In the preview pic SS posted of her with the axe we should definitely be able to see the sword in her left hand if she did have one. From SDCC pics we can see that her left hand swords point reaches to nearly below the knee, and we don't see any of it from a waist down shot.

They got to put the axe across in front of her in both hands -- it is just to hard to carry a axe that big in one hand --

Precisely.
Go out to your garage get a long handled sledge hammer and try holding it that way
--- very uncomfortable ---
Needs 2 hands holding it :)
I am assuming it is like the axe in the death dealer 3 -- just to big for a woman -- she needs 2 hands

I think the idea of theses weapons in to make a very heavy fast moving cutting device not a nimble sword type device
:)
sort of like medieval armor was not effective against a heavy mace because the person was crushed under the armor

I don't know much about the comics... but I'm assuming she's stronger than any normal human?

Is it really that unfathomable to be able to hold the weapon?

She does not need both hands on it to hold it. She does if she's attacking with it, however.

Yea, I don't see what that's a difficult concept. She's just casually holding it. Not fighting with it. And if the axe is balanced well with a long handle, there will be a center of gravity point which would make it very easy to hold and balance.

I can and have held things like that in that manner. It is far easier because it centers the weight. This axe looks MUCH smaller then the dd3 axe, though still definitely two handed axe size. Also there may be some confusion. You wouldn't be actually using it by holding near the head, you'd barely be able to put any power behind it and also the impact would be horrible on your wrist. However in terms of just holding it (after battle) it's actually easier to do as aforementioned it balances the weight as opposed to holding it sideways or somesuch with two hands where the weight is lopsided.

Excellent point

:)

Yeah pretty much, though a sledge should still be heavier (that's what it is a big heavy blunt instrument) however it will have a relatively similar weight and shaft length and is meant to be used in the same manner. Most axes are much smaller than that (even most 2 handed axes). Warhammer or axe with it being that length it's essentially made to be swung the same way anyways. Honestly the big difference between them at the size is the required power behind it. At that point the versatility and speed are pretty much out of the window and while a hammer could be more devastating it would also require a lot more powerful swing to use as well (also probably would not be as great vs a snake, but that's just a guess :p)

All we're seeing is a long handle and a bit of axe. Wooden handles arent heavy at all and most axes are relatively light. I can onesy the axe and mattox out in the toolshed no prob. Also shes choked up on it quite a bit... Scratchin my head to see a problem here :huh

Oh for Lemmy's sake get over yourselves - it's a fantasy figure with gravity-defying boobs in chainmail - who gives a rats-arse if the axe is 50lb, 15lb or borrowed off Gene Simmons.

Reality is: anyone who looks at the statue won't care about the axe (they'll care about the "figure" though).

I'm off to b itch & moan about Sideshow's LOBO statue (oh wait - I can't - it's perfect) . . . maybe their P2 maquette then - that's always an easy target - and it has a weapon that's the wrong size (*oh - hang-on - I might have gone round in circles here . . . . . . *) :wink1:

Even if it's not heavy it's quite long and it's difficult to put a lot of power into a one handed swing there unless it's a really big one (and awkward) so it's definitely a two-handed axe. But it definitely looks like a post victory in-hand pose axe anyways. Most battleaxes that were large like that were actually quite heavy (viking battle axes) though they were a bit longer, and much thicker ;p
