Congrats!

Edited! And thanks!

Congrats, fury! :rock

I know the kind of effort that goes into getting there. Well deserved. :rock

Thank you!

Great news! Congrats!!! :duff

Very happy, thank you very much.

Congratulations! :hi5: The radiation therapy field is tough to get in to--I went through the process four years ago. I graduated in May 2009, passed my registry in August '09, and am now doing what I love! It's an extremely rewarding career and I wouldn't trade it for anything. Believe me, all that hard work will pay off in the end--all the best to you!

We have to talk! ;)

Congrats!!

And thank you.

Thanks buddy! I'm still floating on Cloud 9 today, and just getting into all the hoops I have to jump through to participate in a clinical program. First item down, the background check. Hope nothing unseemly is found out!

Well, you do live in Vegas, so you know the saying... :lol

I don't recall ever being arrested, so that's good. The cops were called one time when I was butt naked in a pool in the middle of the night with a bunch of other drunk friends, but I wasn't caught! Woot!

Wow, this is good news! I remember reading that you didn't get into this program and I was bummed for you. Congrats!

Awesome news, Andrew. Very happy for you... :rock

In case anybody was wondering, or cares...

I've completed my program that I so voraciously wanted to get into. Everything does tend to work out the way it does, or something like that. Seems quite fortuitous honestly, as I was laid off from a closing casino in February of this year. But now I am fully employable as a bonafide Radiation Therapist. And to top it off, it's the most fun, challenging, and rewarding job title I've ever carried. I wish I could have worked more clinical hours, but even so, the 800 hours I did work, never felt like work. Most of my full days in clinic, we would work more than eight hours, or miss lunch, or something. But, I would always come home and say, "I've never worked so long, or been without a break so often, and not been paid, and still loved what I was doing more."

I've had a lot of support from members of this board, and I thank you all. :D

By the way, I finished top of my small class of ten. We had two fail the boards. But, I went from being the alternate, to the top!

Now just to find a position! :D

Congratulations! There are a few medical types in my family...two ultrasound techs, one RN and a full on Doctor. They never had much trouble finding work, even in the bad economy. So I would think you will be at it soon. Good Luck!

That's awesome mate. Your perseverance, motivation and hard work has paid off. Best of luck finding a position, I hope you land a sweet one :)

congrats! I remember getting excepted into paramedic school, doing clinical, and passing the state exam..Felt great, you should be proud.

congrats man, I didn't see this thread before. I know the frustration first hand as I got denied getting into a Physical Therapy Assistant program (lottery based) this year. 175 applicants and only 30 seats, but anyways.......congrats on finishing.
