This one just arrived, as I must confess as a 1/6 figure newb; it really impresses me. The paint on mine (esp the face) doesn't look bad at all, I am thrilled with it. :chew

Wow, great news LF, mine gets here today!

Ok,The Jack has docked! Mint Box! Yeah!!!

The figure is great, no doubt, he will need an eye tweak and weathering as DarkArtist has done so wonderfully well but, hear this

THE SCULPT IS THERE! Yes this most important element is done very well and the outfit is amazingly detailed and accurate! Although mine came a bit crumpled in the jacket tail section. The weapons don't look too cheesy but the RAH body means we can pose him almost anyway we want... it is an amazing body, truly...

I will be sending mine to the great FigureMaster Les (when his schedule permits) and have him 'Depp-utize" mine... but I think anyone who ordered this will be very happy, it is without doubt the Best Sparrow made!

Man, I would LOVE to see what Les could do with that Jack!!! When you have that done, Paul... you better post pics!!!

I definitely will Josh in time.

Couple quickies:

Should I just iron out the jacket?

Also, given the chance, would you recommend I ask him to weather it for me too?

The Jacket has a wire hem... something I did not notice until lately... and You could probably iron out the wrinkles...

I would also ask Les if he will do the weathering... he just might do it. It's easy and quick, something to let dry as he's painting... I don't see why not.

I'm psyched about this figure!! I remeber seeing ithe first prototype pictures!! I was amazed!!! but a month later they released the Superman Returns pictures, and I decided with supes!! but then for my birthday my sisters decided to get me it!! I can't wait!!!

You won't be disappointed, it is excellent. Darkartists out of the box pictures tell the story...

yeah I know, I saw the in-hand pics about a month ago.... from a japanese site... I loved it then... I love it now. Thanks for the heads up pjam.

Yeah, I didn't notice until I was setting him up for pics... It's hidden rather well! And it does add some nice flair to the costume!! :D

Another reason why I love that figure so much.... :chew

Thanks pjam, I try, honestly these were some quickies.

If there was one gripe, THAT would be it -- plastic, eck! :sick

No biggie, just talk to Darkartist or Les about how to "weather" these with simple paint apps, not that hard really...

Ok, so one gripe thus far --- those blasted metal "buttons" they are merely glued on; eek, I am sure that these will fall off quite easily. :monkey4

Wow, they ARE metal not cheapo plastic, sweet!

More reason to love this figure! :lol

It is nice that they are metal, but they are not secured very well. Just a splotch of glue, sadly they are quite easy to pop off - one of mine had to be re-glued. :monkey2
