I forgot which movie was which, except the first two, which I thought were harmless fun.

I saw the first three in the theater. I remember seeing the first, while I was still in High School and thinking... "It's not in the mansion? They're going to some place call the hive? What is this ****?"

I remember the first movie being a big deal at the time, and wasn't it promoted as a prequel to RE1?

I don't believe so. I don't know why these movies have such an obsession with Lickers, it should of been a Hunter as the main monster in it.

Ah now I remember. It WAS meant as a prequel to RE1 but changed somewhere along the way. I remember reading it in a newspaper before the movie came out. I'm not sure if the original movie would still held up as a stand-alone prequel though.

The film was originally subtitled as "Resident Evil: Ground Zero" when the movie was considered a prequel to the games, however the subtitle was removed due to the 9/11 attacks. The film's first plot as of March 16, 2001 revealed that Jovovich's Alice and Rodriguez's Rain were the leaders of a commando team sent in to prevent a viral outbreak from spreading to the rest of the world, however those details were later changed

So happy the film series is ending, maybe they'll reboot it with someone who actually played the damn games.

Honestly, I would rather play ORC than 6. I had a coworker borrow 6 gave it back the next day.

As for the movies, it's bitter sweet for me. I hope for the reboot it's be somewhat close to the games... But I highly doubt it. even the first SH movie had its issues.

Maybe the reboot will borrow some elements from the game or start a new story line. and fans of the game will hate the reboot or they won't be as successful as the current ones. Well, see how it plays it out.

I heard the new Hitman movie was a total failure at the box office. I wonder if the AC movie will be any good... Or TLoU.

Apparently the new movie was better than the 2007 one, idk but the 2007 one was pretty bad.

TLoU should not be getting a movie, but I dunno, maybe that can work.

So the movie series got 6 movies, SH 2, House of the Dead got 2, MK got 2, prince of Persia, etc. then you have other video game movies like alone in the dark, max Payne, doom.
