Sorry but I'm a little late to the party and I haven't played any of the previous RE games, but did I read correctly that there isn't a multi-player mode with this game similar to the Halo or Gears kinda thing.

There will be DLC for multiplayer coming, but there is co-op play.

There isn't a competitive multiplayer mode in the retail disc, but in a few weeks Capcom will release a Versus Mode for RE5 as downloadable content. It will cost $5

yeah, making people buy the MP is lame as far as DLC goes for games. Don't worry Fritz I've not played the other either.

Just a getting started but so far this game is great and the controls dont bother me a bit. Its still taking some getting used to that the game doesnt pause when you go to your item screen though.

dont know if this has been posted but gamestop has a trade-in special for RE5. if you go on there website there is a list of games you could trade in and if you trade in 2 games from that list you could get RE5 for 20 bucks

Dead space did this and I loved it. Although this was a great thing in the original RE because I could go to my item screen, pause the game and heal up. Blah blah not realistic blah blah...was still great, especially because the originals were ten times harder.

picked these up at TRU and BB.

would of much prefered if TRU got the CE in to help save a bit of money, but eh its alright I guess.

hehe... i just bought the ps3 version. havent opened it yet, but was looking at comparison shots of the 360 and PS3. should I exchange since the 360 has slightly cripser, more stable graphics?

Picked it up this morning. So far I'm fairly impressed. The graphics are some of the best I've seen so far. The controls will take a little getting used to however but nothing a little experience won't help. I personally don't don't understand some of the hate AI Sheva is getting, so far at least for me she's been more help than a hinderance (with the exception of almost getting herself killed by the Chainsaw Majini). My biggest complaint is so far I just got past the El Gigante and not once have I felt creeped out which is an essential for an RE game imho. I know some people feel RE4 wasn't real creepy either but it had it's moments. While I can't give my full opinion yet as I have yet to finnish the game, I must say again for the most part I'm impressed.

They look almost exactly the same. If you need to see a comparison, Gametrailers has done the most thorough one yet. I've read around that the 360 version has slightly (very slightly) better anti aliasing and water effects, but it doesn't make much of a difference.

There's some website that put up screenshots that show it much clearer, the better anti-aliasing in the Xbox version makes things look a bit sharper, plus it has a better framerate and some better effects.

However-the PS3 version still looks really good, and while the framerate does dip from 30FPS, movies are in 24FPS so it's not getting to a point where it is really noticeable.
