This game is fantastic so far! The graphics are up there with Gears of War. Cant wait to see what Hot Toys does with the figures they release for this.

Something I am unsure of is checkpoints, if you quit game and don't overwite weapons ans status, will you start again at checkpoint? Or do checkpoints not save and you will go back to a chapter start?


Was gutted today as I lost about hour and a half game time. I was against the boss in chapter 2-2 and was messing round and lost all ammo, I then chose overwrite and when I started I had no ammo but was at the start of the chapter!?! Then I tried selecting another chapter to 'clear' my current weapons and the game would not recognise where I was so had to play through again from a previous chapter!!!!

Much better graphics, Gears only uses a color palette consisting of, Brown, brown and brown.

I'm up to chapter 4-2 and its been great so far....its also been very easy so far...I hope these last few chapters are tougher.

Checkpoints aren't savepoints, it'll say if it's saving and at that point you can leave teh game and go back to that point later.

one thing i hate is that ammo for the guns is everywhere, until you get to the last chapter and then it seems to be really scarce.

I know what he said, I read it the first time he posted it and found no reason to be affronted by it.

I find it hard to believe that unless you did not see any of the trailers or hadn't read any review for the game that you wouldn't know Wesker was in the game and featured prominently as the main antagonist. But I can't be that presumptuous so I guess you win in that regard.

And like I said, Darthviper didn't reveal the ending, but unless you've already played the game through or read his post right above this one you wouldn't know.

I havent watched a single trailer or anything so yes I was clueless. IMO people are a bit too open in the game section with spoilers.

just finished 2-2 and so far the game is great. i would of been alot further into the game but Im trying my damnest to find the BSAA logos, but Ive only found one so far. I know I prob missed abunch already.

Pretty good so far. Re Sheva, I'm just using her for storage. She wastes too much ammo when she has a weapon and wastes the green herbs as well. So I just have her loaded up with ammo and grenades. Love the cut scenes!

Yea, Sheva is a pain in the butt when it comes to using up ammo, i gave her the machine gun and she just emptys the clips everytime..though i mean its better then her standing there going "uhh duhh" but, i think you can order her to hold off the attack..love the part when your in the hummer mowing down the gangstas on the bikes lol..graphics are sick for that..explosions etc.

don't forget she also just stands in the way watching while the bad guys hack and slash both of you.

Sheva doesn't waste ammo for me. I have her set to cover and she always has plenty of ammo.

I'm at chapter 5-1 but I'm repeating the first part of 3-1 over and over to get the treasures and stuff to sell and make lots of money to upgrade all the guns I have as high as they'll go. In 5 minute quick runs of the thing I can get:

2 Silver Chalices (2000 each)
2 Silver Idol (2000 each)
6 Brown Beetles (1000 each)
2 Ruby (1000 each)
1 Emerald (1000)
Random Eggs (white sell for 250, brown for 500 and gold for 1000)
Rocket Launcher (1000)

I can get all of those without alerting ANY enemies and I just save and quit the game after I get them and start again selling my stuff before I start the level. I usually get about 15,000 out of each 5-10 minute run of the start of the chapter.

Wesker was a pain in the a$$ to beat after he infects himself with Uroboros and to make it worse both Chris and Sheva were low on ammo

. Overall though great game. I still prefer 4, Remake and 2 but this and Nemesis are tied! I just wish this game had more survival horror than action.
