But Nemesis was easily the greatest enemy in the entire franchise and RE: Code Veronica was, at one point, the creepiest and had some of the "best" controls. o_O

Notice I threw in "at one point." :wink1:

Nemesis is unique, But im a fan of good ol' fashioned tyrants more. And i do get annoyed at Nemesis rather than fearing him. He is over powered and just spams way too much. If he looked like Super Tyrant from the end of Re 2 id be much more happy though given that's whoes move set he has + the ability to run CONSTANTLY.

I still think the hardest part of the entire RE franchise is when you first enter the basement of the RPD station where the 3 cerberus are (before you get to the car park)

You have to break cover so you can shoot them and if you break cover and are looking in the wrong direction or 1 jumps you from behind you can never recover because they just take turns blind siding you. And its only about 4 quick hits and you're dead!

Jabberwock Steve would arguably be the hardest part of the franchise, but only if you dont know what to do ( and dont have 3 full healths)

You didn't find CV creepy? So, you're telling me the trek up the mansion did absolutely nothing for you? The imperfect tyrants with one arm, the other a numb, did nothing to creep you out? You're telling me the big daddy Tyrant being locked in an airborne plane with Claire didn't freak you the **** out?

What... what are you? o_O

I did find the Bandersnatches creepy. I shat myself when the first one appeared! The training facility (once it starts kicking off), palace of insane and the castle + antarctic base and semi-mansion creepy too. The music is hella creepy!

But it doesnt feel the same as the other games. Probably due to the graphics. Feels a bit cartoonish.

I do feel CV had the best controls of all the RE games though.

It's still my fave RE.

It had the best graphics at the time. Prior to that we had block graphics and the few live-action scenes from the first game. A little under two years later we had the Gamecube REmake and RE0. In a way, the graphics were always cartoony, until the REmake.

nobody is scared of mr x ? The guy looks like a mutated shaq in a trench coat. If i ran into him or nemesis in a dark alley i would faint. lol

no it didn't do nothing for me now crimson zombies chasing after you was a different story and the nemesis running after you was intense .

Ah. I see. Well those are adrenaline scares. They are an obvious natural reaction. I'm talking about the "creepy" scares. The Nemesis and Crimson Heads aren't "creepers." :wink1:

Walking towards the eerie manson in CV was as creepy as some of the outside segments in the REmake, in my opinion. It felt like I was going to my death, lol. That said, the creepiest thing in any of the RE games was IN the REmake. There's a door in the mansion that, under certain circumstances, a zombie can start jiggling the door knob and if you stand there long enough... can actually bust through it. I dropped my controller and my jaw the first time that happened.

chainsaw ganado is strongest villain

no matter you healthy ,you dead in 1 touch

i can play other RE ,but no RE4 anymore

the chainsaw machine sound make it worse

CV was boring. It wasnt creepy. It looked like a cell shaded/animated videogame.

The 'big daddy tyrant' is ust a regular T-103, I mean, Claire killed one of them in RE2. No biggie. 103's are the bog standard tyrants and not scary at all.

There was 2 things great about CV;

I honestly dont know why I dont like CV. I mean I bought it on HD and finished it, and it felt so boring. I can play RE0-RE4 and not get bored of playing it. But CV? I dread picking the controller up through boredom. Its like, its the tank controls which can be a massive ball ache, but its visual style is so animated/cell shaded and cartoony that it puts me off alot aswell. I found the story abit dull, Steve only beaten by Ashley on annoyance scale. But I love Claire and I love Chris, I love the Ashfords and Nosferatu. Bandersnatch was a great enemy. I just find it a chore to play and dont enjoy it.

The Nemesis eats Dr. Salvador's Chainsaw Wheaties for breakfast, so he can grow up to be a big strong boy. :D

Well, Code Veronica was the first RE I could actually get in to. I tried RE1 and really didn't like it at that time, which would've been around the time RE3 initially came out.

Still not wrapping my head around the cartoony graphics complaint. Let's be honest, the games were all cartoony to an extent, until the REmake. If anything, Code Veronica just had more refined pixels based on the style of graphics from the previous games, making it appear cartoony.

My favorite is still RE3, but RE2 means more to me because it was the first RE game I played.

Nah I get what you mean matey.

And heres what I mean about the graphics, it just sempt abit too colourful and just, cartoonish. I mean the PS1 graphics didnt feel cartoony;

Just seems abit animate/cartoony in CV. I dont like the enemy designs at all, I mean the hunter looked lame, so was the purple Sweeper variant. Zombies looked abit naff and I hated the Black widows. Just terrible.

But yeah, I didnt mind the PS1 game style, and REmake/Zero made the horror real, and I loved that.

So do i

ps1 (and for first half of its life, ps2) IMO is the golden era of gaming. All the modern day games now are either 7-8-9th or whatever sequel to an original great ps1 game, or a new franchise thats a complete copy of a ps1 game or a complete mindless game where you just shoot everything up but all the kids will think its great because of the graphics.

... + Chainsaw Majini > Ganado

Ganado can be slowed down by pistol shots to the chest where as Majini no-sells them. You can Knock Ganado down with a shotgun blast where as Majini no-sells them. Not to mention the Majini revives and goes nuts super salvador style.
