So do i

ps1 (and for first half of its life, ps2) IMO is the golden era of gaming. All the modern day games now are either 7-8-9th or whatever sequel to an original great ps1 game, or a new franchise thats a complete copy of a ps1 game or a complete mindless game where you just shoot everything up but all the kids will think its great because of the graphics.

... + Chainsaw Majini > Ganado

Ganado can be slowed down by pistol shots to the chest where as Majini no-sells them. You can Knock Ganado down with a shotgun blast where as Majini no-sells them. Not to mention the Majini revives and goes nuts super salvador style.[/

Yeah but theyre still damn lame and easy. Going Crazy isn't even that hard, headshots still stun them and just throw a grenade and theyre on the floor in 5 seconds.

I still remember the first time I played the original RE. I was visiting my mother back in AZ and my little sister had a PS1 and RE, I played it and I was hooked. I came back to Seattle and went out and bought myself a Playstation and RE and never looked back. Same thing happened when I had GTA3, 2 friends and an ex-boyfriend of mine had to go out and buy themselves a PS2 after playing it at my place. Good times.

I remeber when i played the first RE and i was seven. i was over my sister's bf house and got to the part where you appraoch the first zombie and it scared me to death so i asked them to turn it off. A few years later I played the remake and fell in love with the series and fell more in love after i watched the very first RE movie. Lol yes I know

I remember playing the first RE when it was out on the original PSX, I had gone to Gamestop (Software Etc at the time) with my Mom and convinced her my brother and I needed a PSX. Was able to get the system and I was able to pick out TWO games (1 for me and 1 for my Brother). I picked Myst (what the HELL was I thinking :cuckoo:) and I picked RE for my Brother, obviously we ended up playing the crap out of RE over Myst. :lol

Nah I get what you mean matey.

And heres what I mean about the graphics, it just sempt abit too colourful and just, cartoonish. I mean the PS1 graphics didnt feel cartoony;

Just seems abit animate/cartoony in CV. I dont like the enemy designs at all, I mean the hunter looked lame, so was the purple Sweeper variant. Zombies looked abit naff and I hated the Black widows. Just terrible.

But yeah, I didnt mind the PS1 game style, and REmake/Zero made the horror real, and I loved that.
Some of the enemy designs do look a tad different. Still, the game looks like the others before it, just with less pixelation.

The REmake and CV are the most immersive of the games for me, while RE3 is the best all around, due to so many present factors, namely Jill and the Nemesis... and Jill being chased by the Nemesis throughout half the game. :lol

I think REmake is the most, creepy. Well most immersive for me. I think its the fact it was realistic at the time, and the fact that you truly felt like an ordinary police officer in an extraordinary situation your barely in control of. I loved the slower pacing. Its beauty made me want to walk everywhere so I could take in the rooms, it made me want to be over cautious walking through the corridors, I didnt know whether the silence was false; a zombie could be standing round the corner paitently or a hunter. A zombie could be waiting to pounce through a door. The thunder and that bloody branch tapping at the window hiding the movement. I even loved watching the character's walk; whether chris had the handgun at the side of his head ready for a quick draw, or jill holding the gun down in slow caution. No game has made me feel panic or fear but REmake.

I love RE3 more than RE2. I loved the slightly faster pacing; the running was faster, the zombies moved faster. I liked the larger variety of enemies, I liked being in the city and seeing the destruction. It still haunts me to this day seeing the childs playground behind the Bar; hop scotch chalkings, chils tricycle and the teddy bear. Blood just up the stairs. very haunting environments seeing everyday places full of blood, burning cars or dead bodies.

Could you imagine a modern day RE3? It would HAVE to be like an open world game. Could you imagine being jill, having a map and needing to get all the way downtown from uptown;do you go for the main routes which could be blocked by cars, but may have police blockades with weapons and supplies but at the risk of tons of zombies, or do you take the back alleys and risk going through all the back streets? Maybe you could get to Kendo's gun shop and get some supplies, or maybe you'd be too late, Claire has already been there, the shops been mostly raided and kendo is another member of the walking dead. You could even climb up fire escapes and onto some roof tops, see the devestation and draw a route out of what you can see is clear.

The possiblities would be endless with an open world RE3; still have a story and directional narrative, but give us freedom to explore the city and try and get some supplies.

I would prefer an RE3 remake in line with the first game's REmake, but I wouldn't mind a more open world approach, I guess. Either way, I agree... that game needs the remake treatment.

I've heard various ideas floating around the net, the like of which include making RE2 and RE3 into one singular remake, which would be a genius move on Capcom's part. They could easily get away with reusing environments and charging $80 for the full game. Those like myself would buy it for RE3 alone, while others would grab it for RE2.

id like to keep an re 2 & 3 remake separate

Re 2 would be fleshed out a lot more and id still want them to keep it as an A and B game so i wouldnt want them to cram Leon and Claires story together

And then going back into racoon city for the 3rd time with a 3rd scenario and visiting some of the same places could drag it out a lot

Not to mention if they keep Jill's " choices " the game could open up whole new areas and missions/story for a re 3 remake

Separate them please carpcom!

Though give us any at all. I do love the Darkside Chronicles " memories of a lost city " RE 2 also though.

Its still the **** now and amazing!

Outside of Soul Reaver its got my favorite OST. Once upon a time they were both my favorite new games. They are still my favorite couple of games. A shame nothing has come out to better them other than their own sequels ( to a point ) in 15 years

I was going to do that, but since I have purchased every RE game before (besides the wii ones or the ds ones) RE6 is must!

I have avoided every single game play video/etc. except the two trailers. I never played the demo.

I have fond memories of Resident Evil. My first exposure was via a friend's friend. This is where I first sampled Resident Evil 2 and was instantly in love, and it was also what got me into zombie stuff for the first time (susequently discovering a long hidden VHS copy of the original Dawn of the Dead my dad attained before I was born). I would say I was lucky to have been exposed to RE2 and DotD for my first zombie exposure in media.

After the quick play up to the police station, we borrowed it from him and had an all-nighter where we played Leon Scenario A until dawn. It was a combination of horror, solving every puzzle without a guide, and not knowing where to go or what awaited behind every door that took us so long. Beginning the game at night as we slowly unraveled the engrossing story and finishing at daybreak just like in-game made it even more awesome. I wish I could relive an experience like that over again and it's the one of the biggest reasons I hold the classic RE titles very dearly!

Code Veronica was my favorite installment for a while due to its epicness. The music, the return of Wesker, the sibling symbolism, and the bigger scale is what made it my favorite. Then REmake came out. I got a Gamecube in anticipation of many games (new Zelda and MGS remake), but my biggest reason was for REmake, and to this day it remains as my favorite RE title.
