They bring new characters and then they magically dissapear, we should ahve games wtih Claire, Jill, Leon, Sherry, Jake and Chris for the next few years. The series don't need new characters

No don't reboot....make a scary game with Claire and Jill. Give the people what they want , the sole purpose of why people buy resident evil was to get scared. Bring that **** back. Btw jake muller needs to disappear with the other re characters.

No need to reboot the story imo, just the gameplay and overall feel of the games need rebooting. I also agree they need to stop introducing new characters and bring back some older ones that haven't been seen in a while. Also no more co-op. Co-op really takes away the intensity and sense of dread you get when playing solo.

Yes. I think Alex Wesker would be great for this. I'm still very disappointed there was no mention of Alex Wesker in RE6.

Yeah, not one mention...the only villainous thing we really have now is "The family". Which I'm not verly fond of at the moment...as Ada put it "the people who really run this country". Sounds uninspired.

But whatever, As long as the next villain/s has better motives than Simmons and Carla...I'm good.

Indeed. At the very least I hope they bring back ol' Al if Capcom decides not to do anything with the Alex Wesker character.

I think we will never see Alex. I think he was a backup plan incase of a revolt of Weskers death so if they needed to they could kinda bring a relation back in re 6 to appease us. And Alex turned into Jake.

You could also look at it that the notes you find around the place were not exactly up to date, and that when Albert met Spencer the revelation that Albert was the only Wesker left was true. Infact, some of the notes you find in re 5 are like 30 years old. So it could easily be the case

To be honest I don't know how RE4 won game of the year ect I thought it was good but not amazing and after playing it I prayed RE would go back to normal then came 5 then for 6 I though zombies are back they will make a scary action game maybe it will work and be fantastic...how disappointed I was . I have loved the Resident Evil franchise since RE1 and I'm so gutted at how Capcom have treated their best franchise just to try and make more money.
I have friends who stopped playing after 4 was brought out because they like everyone else enjoyed the atmosphere the suspense the puzzles and the story of previous RE games and RE6 could of easily destroyed the franchise with the same monster transforming into 3 different animals (Simmons) that really pissed me off, about a thousand QTE's and the fact it could of easily been a cheap 3rd person shooter with RE characters slapped on it because RE6 was a complete fail and if Capcom don't open their eyes then RE 7 will be the last game.

REmake, over the shoulder RE4 style. Zombies too slow? Well have the zombies largely replaced by Crimson heads. Somehow, the T-virus has been developed to skip straight to the V-ACT stage. Faster, smarter, decapitation or incineration only to kill them.

make the players more agile but not QTE. I want hunters charging at me like in REmake, Lickers lunging at me like RE2, Drain demois leaping like RE3; but I want my character to be able to dodge them. Hold a button and press a direction and the character will take the appropriate movement. Do it too late and you get hit. Too soon and the creature adapts.

To me, that would be perfect. Id love REmake, 2 and 3 over the shoulder.

I would only prefer to have RE3 over the shoulder. Not knowing how close Nemesis is behind you would add fear and tension. Not to mention RE3 suits the action style. RE1 and RE2 need to stay fixed camera angle IMO.

I decided to play a little of this with my gf last night, I didn't quite see it at first but this is just a bad game and lacks the substance the PSXs or even RE4-5 had. I didn't like RE5 since Chris was the main and Wesker dying but it was a solid game and I put countless hours into it.

After I got the Platinum in this, I don't really have any interest in it anymore. I also think the RE5 Mercs mode was a lot better than this.

Same here. Once I get the platinum, I won't be playing this abomination. Plus, I hate the Mercs mode. It's just awful!!!

The only thing to put interest in it for me is if they do a Mercs reunion and put some old school characters in it like RE5 did.

I think Capcom is just going to release maps and costumes that we can't even use in the storyline. Capcom should start reading forums. it's oblivious they're not listening to its fans.

I'm so glad that the sales are tanking, it's just a flat action game.

The series officially died after Code Veronica and it was the last time I actually cared about the characters. From RE4 on there is no emotion anymore, except when Leon protects Ada I actually felt for them but of course no kiss
