Demo is pretty fun, you get to play in the three campaigns. The demo consists of the gameplay demos we've already seen.
Leon: Not very much to it, basically a walk in the dark with a small portion where you shoot some zombies. The atmosphere was great though
Chris: A little more fun because there's more action. Very shootery. His is also the longest (I love the opening to Chris' scenario. (
)
Jake: not very long either...a few corridors, then a fight with the big guy with a mechanical arm (Ustanak I think his name is)
One neat thing: you can pick to play as the secondary character from the get go. Example: I can be Sherry instead of Jake.
All in all it's fun, but...the controls are going to take some getting used too...and they aren't as tight as they could be. When you get in the heat of battle you can get lost fighting the camera and the new control layout. It didn't happen too much..but it did happen. It seemed a bit rough honestly.
The melee controls are fun as is the new dodging....though I really didn't use it a whole lot. Taking cover is...unintuitive... You have to hold the aim button and press A and then point forward to stand up in cover to fire. It's kind of annoying.
All in all, It's fun. You don't get a lot to play with, but you get an idea...the main problem is, it doesn't feel as polished as it should be.
As I said, the controls will take some getting used to. They seem a little complicated at first. But shooting zombies is fun as ever and mixing it up with a little melee is a blast, and I love the quick fire (dual wielding) action...much fun it is. The demo has made me excited for more...but a little worried.
