Looks good Ryan! Only thing irking me is the lining on the top, they're lined up improperly. The two lines are supposed to line up with her breasts.

<Looks at figure> Whooops! Looks like I got it wrong! Thanks a bunch for pointing that out! Anything other suggestions (if any) would be great too.

The Holster Shoulder Paddings look way big even for a Sling bag.

oh wait, i don't even see the holster, so what are the shoulder slings for?

Oh, I was just about to get to that, the leather-like materials- especially the harness, are really cheap and feels extremely fragile. On top of that, I think the boots would certainly deteriorate over time. The outfit itself is well tailored and is stretchable enough, but I'm really anxious for the other parts. Preeeetty sure it will turn to dust in a few years.

Btw, is the head a recast of the HT?

for the straps you can easily replace them with real leather by buying some thin real leather off ebay. for the holster, well if you have the tailoring skills you can replace it too.

nothing much to do with the boots unless you are exceptionally skilled tailor. you can try those tyre shine products, they seem to be able to form a sealing coat. or spray light mist coat of semi-gloss coat. and if the inner boot is made of fabric, you can get a brown plastic dip & recoat the boot when it's totally gone, you won't get the leather texture but better than nothing.

I suppose so. As for the gun holster, the set doesn't come with one.

I'll probably craft one myself when it deteriorates eventually. As for the boots, I'll just have to replace them with something good enough when the time comes.

Jill never wore leather straps anyway. If you do update, you should get olive green polyester straps like what they used in the Vietnam War (HT Platoon for instance).

Good idea, thanks for the suggestion!

What type of Phicen body do you guys recommend? I found a US seller that sells the Jill set and has a few Phicen bodies.

Anything after 2014 (the year is in the series model) and mid bust, tan color.

Ryan- fantastic looking pictures! I was considering a jointed body (like Ada), but now I'm thinking of getting a completely seamless one.

For those who have the Jill set, how do the boots fit? Is there a foot peg/hole, or are they meant to fit molded feet?

Thanks! I always use seamless bodies for characters showing a lot of skin because I prefer realism over articulation.

Good question about the boots. They come with molded feet complete with peg holes, which saves a lot hassle. However the peg holes lean towards the loose side so I'd assume a little bit of glue should tighten up the peg holes.

I ordered mine from ToyPanic with express shipping...

I'll consider a seamless body, but I do enjoy posing them.

I got mine from ToyPanic as well.

As for the bodies, the seamless ones poses just fine, they're probably not as restrictive as you'd might think but they're naturally nowhere near as extensive as proper jointed bodies. I'd say if you're conflicted, consider the new Stainless Steel line- they're more expensive but they have an absurd points of articulation. Simply the best of both worlds.

Finished working on a better harness and belt for Jill tonight.

jillHarness.jpg

The harness is a Soldier Story one from ebay. I ran some wire (paperclips) inside the shoulder parts so I could shape them to contour the body better. The belt and back pouch are from Hot Toys' The Boss figure. The front pouch I had laying around in my kit bash box. I'm happy with how this turned out :)

The seller I was going to order from only has Phicen's from 2013.

Hmm I guess it would do. Unless you wanna go with the more superior Stainless Steel skeleton version, they have crazy amount of articulation. If not, out of the list you gave me, this would be the best one:

Phicen Limited

Looks superb! A replacement harness is the way to go.

Thanks for the reply! So does that mean I'd need to get a body with foot pegs/removable feet? I've noticed that some of the Phicen bodies don't have removable feet.

Yeah, you definitely need a body with removable feet. I'm not 100% sure if some (if any) of the seamless ones do have unremovable feet as the ones I have can be removed, so its' probably best to ask the seller so you won't regret it later.

Thanks again everyone for all the suggestions, I've fixed all the problems such as the skirt and top alignment and (I think) she's as good as I can make her to be.

Outside of the head sculpt (TBF, I haven't seen good Jill sculpt out there), it's pretty ****ing great looking!

I'd say the headsculpt is 70% there at best. I would instantly replace it with a better one if there is any, so in the meantime I'll compensate with that nicely tight fitting outfit. :lol
