Yes the head I used is by Dam. The paint is very basic. I hate the color used for his lips.
It looks a bit better when you use dramatic lighting. But the paint on this sculpt is just…. Meh.

Yes classic Leon and Claire has a slightly improved paint but not 300$ great.

Ok so I was wrong. The body used is not a TBLeague. It’s actually a Jiaou doll. The same one I initially used for my custom Leon but swapped because proportions didnt look right. Especially the awkward looking neck on jiaou.

You can see how the V line on the neck matches perfectly. And the placement of the sculpted veins on the arms match perfectly too.

The downside of Jiaou is that they’re a lower quality cheap seamless body. All the ones I have ripped almost instantly at the elbow and wrist. Theyre this body’s weak points. If you want to keep it intact, be very careful when changing hands and don’t put the arms in a 90 degree angle or more. Kind of a bummer tbh. I will definitely be swapping the body.

Also unrelated but the stock paint on damtoys is so bad

Oh definitely that the same body. I knew it was a mess from the start... well whenever Leon arrives in hand, I'll need help to find a proper body then. That's why I hate seamless bodies... no matter how expensive in the end they always crack.

I got two of classic ones from the latest batch and 1 is still wonky as he usually is, when another has a better paint. I guess it's based on the copy. In the end all of them are wonky. So even if Damtoys releases licensed RE4 Leon we need to keep out expectations low lol

I ended up using the Art Figures AF-026 body. It looks great. It’s jointed but has a nice skin texture everywhere. Not the shiny plastic forearms most figures have. I like the proportions of this body, despite it being a bit too muscular for Leon.

zc toys have toned arm and rubber neck/torso. the legs are still shinny hard plastic though. cheapest in the market. i am wondering if we can swap the toned arms with the neckless version as those came with shiny arms.

They’re pretty bad. I had a female figure, ripped at the wrist. I had two male bodies. One ripped at the elbow and I thought it was just a coincidence. Then I posed the other body, I was not even pushing the limits of the figure and it still ripped in the same place.

I have lots of TBleague bodies and theyre all still in perfect condition even after owning them for years. Sometimes having them in poses for months at the time.

i am a little confused with all the seamless arm/torso brands. i have poptoys also called xing body, then theres this cheaper body that came with the Stars Jill (did they use jiao or something else?). tbh apart from tbleague i couldnt tell the differences between different makers.

if you have him in the jacket a truetype or zc body would work. you dont need to worry about the jacket so you prolly dont want to worry about the rubber on the body right?

True that but rubber melts down after few years and if it's a low quality rubber that gonna happen faster than expected and gonna ruin the fabric clothing. Hot Toys isn't stupid,they are using mainly articulated jointed bodies,ppl like that or not.

Maybe they used that wonky body for the prototype and gonna upgrade the final version, who knows. Just in general when third party companies use stock bodies by someone else, I think isn't a lazy move.

I think you'll be good with a jointed body for Ada, she's basically all covered.

Tbleague bodies are great. Jiaou are not. Like I said never had an issue with TBleague and I use them extensively.

I would not recommend ZC. Bad proportions, terrible articulation in the arms and the neck is so thick that 90% of heads don’t fit on it.

tbleague are silicone not rubbee and based on what statue collectors claim silicone are durable and long lasting.

the rubber on the zw are harder rubber or soft plastic so should be ok for good few years i already have them for years and blitzway tony montana also has such torso and its near a decade old.

so far most are ok. but i used them on fully clothed figures. i only know this brand with full torso apart from hot toys. are there better non full seamless bodies out there with such torso? I saw DID and few but they are neckless like old truetypes.

I just look for random loose bodies on ebay. Damtoys ones are very good and have nice skin texture, sometimes I get bodies from other third party companies too. Maybe a hot toys thor body would suit Leon, he has rubber arms.

Yeah but she is covered top to bottom so it won't be a big deal.

Leon looks really nice. Really dislike the seamless body but thats unfortunately the standard these days, also dont love the sculpt but the tailoring looks great, that jacket is sex.

Still have not played the game, waiting for black Friday since im already preoccupied with so may other games.
