Fan revival of 3.5 that's been going on for awhile finally got a demo. Not bad, I just tried it.

The original voice actor for Nemesis died today

RIP Tony Rosato. He voiced Luigi in the Mario Bros Super Show...and Dario from RE3. I wish they re-used his clips or voice for later games, it was superb.

Was curious as to what's different between the PS1 GC RE2 so I fired up both at the same time. Both using the same TV with ISF calibration:

PS1 via PS3 with correct upscaling and Smoothing off, 1080p, HDMI:

Gamecube via Wii, 480i, Component:

I knew there a big difference with the GC version, but I didn't realize it was that dramatic. Maybe I should hook mine up.

The PS1 version should look fine on a CRT, but on a HDTV it's garbage, regardless if it's on PS3. The GC holds up well because of the higher native 480i resolution and having smoother graphics anyway. I wished I had bought the GC version sooner.

it's unfair to compare the PS1 using PS3 upscaling to 1080p. have you tried using Emulator instead because they do better when it comes to upscaling.

Yes I have used epsxe and they look 50x better. It's just that I'd rather play games on native hardware if possible. @Brando, You might wanna fix the aspect ratio since the image is stretched. Here's my capture from few years back:

Always play PS1 games stretched since they're all blocky cartoons anyway. It's only when I'm watching real people in a show or movie that I care about it.

I only play Racoon City & Resident Evil 6. The rest are just mediocre. RE1 was popular only because it was the pioneer, the graphic & live actions were horrible.
