Neither. It was RE4, because Dante came from an original draft of RE4 that ended being drastically different from the rest of the games. That's why he looks so similar to Leon.

Cause he's an RE hipster, I mean he probably writes Steve x Claire fan fiction his reasoning doesn't even make sense. First he claims it, then he doubts it, then he doesn't believe actual proof!

What? Code Veronica was meant to be RE3 and RE3 Nemesis was called "Resident Evil 1.9" by the staff at the time. But since CV was taking longer than expected to complete on the new Dreamcast, they decided to give RE1.9 the '3' title to create a Raccoon City/PS1 trilogy.

Resident Evil 4, in its very infant stage was drastically different and thus Shinji Mikami asked Capcom to create a new franchise from it which became 'Devil May Cry.' Since then, RE4 went through a few stages, from the progenitor mist to the hook man. Shinji Mikami still felt it deviated too much from the classic RE lore since it was too supernatural. Therefore, the final result is the Las Plagas version we have today.

This man, right here. Stated everything that had to be said. Nothing more can really be said about RE4, really. Did not know about RE3 being called 1.9, but that makes sense. I know some fans consider CV to be the real RE3 - I don't personally because of the PS1 trilogy note

My Midnight Wesker came yesterday. I absolutely love it. Really makes me wish that they would make more of these besides Leon and Ada.

The VGM line is dead. We're lucky to get any at this point, even if a prototype at some event/convention. at this point it seems like Ada might be only one being released. Plus, it sucks that we won't get a complete collection for a series, even if it's a crappy game like RE6. I hate having an incomplete collection.

I'm at work right now, listening to a playthrough of RE2 with commentary. I was just thinking again, how many geographical inconsistencies as well as plot brain farts that don't make any sense with RE2-3. I'll try to put all them down that I recall.

RE2

How Leon and Claire seemingly get into the city without going through the military blockade.

Why on the PC in the main hall of the RPD has a photo of the Tyrant room on the desktop as well as an icon of a zombie face.

The RPD doesn't come across as a functioning police station in the least. For it being the main precinct of the city, there's barely any desks at all for such a large military force. So much wasted, empty space, with only two medium sized rooms for maybe 20 cops.

The armory is extremely small for the amount of cops you come across.

The tiny waiting room in on the 1st floor of the west wing doesn't match up to the elevated room with Marvin in it next to it, when there supposed to be linked since there's a window booth.

The chemical plant is WAY too close to the RPD, and is literally right behind it due to the sewer system under the dog kennel being incredibly short.

There's absolutely no point of reference to how far the cable car goes underground to the industrial district, and where that area is, is anyone's guess.

The natural cave system underneath Irons office, which to me has no business existing at all.

RE3

Why Jill waited so long before trying to escape the city.

The street Leon and Claire drive down to before hitting the light pole in front of the RPD, is completely blocked with abandoned cars. Also, the street was way too narrow for it to be the large street depicted in the FMV.

There's a flipped over truck, that looks very much like the truck in RE2 that is next to the trolley... which almost makes it appear the Leon and Claire crash happened a entire block north of where it was in RE2. I don't buy into a coicendence that there was two trucks... and this was just a mistake by the RE3 dev team since it wasn't the same as the RE2 team.

How the **** the lab in the basement of the hospital was kept secret, since Carlos seemingly gets there with no problem.




I can't recall anything right now, so feel free to add to it. I hope REmake 2 modernizes the RPD in the sense it's more realistic while keeping the main niche things within it.
