I'll have to check when I get home, but I'm pretty sure it just runs the English version of the game completely if your system settings is set to English. I bought the remaster of Resident evil 1 on PS3 when I was living in Japan. I'm not remembering seeing Japanese in it.

So far the only good thing has been Zero and Remake, beyond that nothing good. RE4....again? 5, meh could be fun to revisit it. RE6?! Really?! Umbrella Corps... Seriously Capcom? Random-shooter crap that only people will buy because it's Resident Evil? We should've gotten releases of Outbreak with CO-OP.

Moira never shutting up, everything about Barry - this is enough to justify the game's existence - Wesker, Claire looking like a redheaded step child of Tobey Maguire...still very low budget though
