Jeez man Re is on the rise again. We got all these game's plus the RE cgi movie in 2012. Thats gonna be awesome. plus we got ORC to next winter so i'm pround to be an RE fan. Just get rid of Alice in the live action RE movie's and i'll be a bigger fan.

If they'd only remake RE2 and RE3 with updated graphics but classic gameplay like the REmake for Gamecube. That'll never happen in a billion years.

Never say never. Once Capcom have exhausted the franchise they'll dip once again into the past and we will have our RE2 and RE3 remakes. Try as they might to pervert RE history with ORC I hope they don't alter anything except the graphics and maybe gameplay in the RE2 remake.

You can almost guarantee they will.

Plausible! :panic:

Shsssh! Don't encourage them!

I will miss you forever, tank controls and pre-rendered backgrounds. :(

Capcom, if you're thinking about putting an over-the-shoulder player viewpoint in RE2 and RE3, you going to get an angry letter from a fan that you don't want to mess with.

Me.

Yeah they were so common a decade ago. I know that those static backgrounds can now be achieved fully in 3d but I missed the artistry of pre-drawn environments. Imagining RE2 and 3 with animated REmake style backgrounds is so drool-worthy. I realize though that they wouldn't work for a lot of modern games. Imagining ORC with pre-rendered backgrounds is hilarious (in my mind).

One thing I feel needs to return if an RE2 and 3 remake ever happens are the Crimson Head zombies. I thought those were brilliant strokes of genius. Zombies that come back stronger if you don't burn their corpses? Terrifying when I played REmake for the first time. I wish they were used more in other RE games.

If the remake RE2 and 3, it would be cool if they could add both the old school camera or the over-the-shoulder style and let the player choose what camera style they want.

The PR backgrounds were just so beautiful and amazingly animated.

Yes, crimson heads need to make a come back. One of the most terrifying things in an RE game.

Totally. Opening a door and hearing the hurried footsteps of one or seeing a zombie on the ground and hoping he doesn't get up... Oh man. I was always going and refilling my gas can.

Taking the series in a different direction is fine as long as it doesn't trample what makes heart of the series, in RE's case SURVIAL HORROR. This news really sucks. Might as well make it a new series or something. I'm still looking forward to this game but this news is really dis-heartening. I expected this game to be more action oriented but I was still expecting to have a bit of survival horror too it but it seems they're wanting to follow in RE5's direction.
