Sherry, who was 9, lost her parents during the events of RE2, and to far more traumatic circumstances - father turned into an ever evolving monster that impregnated her, and mother was killed by said father. Look at how Sherry turned out, and how she held up during RE2, and RE3's epilogue. Your argument is completely invalid at that point.

To be fair, Sherry was actually 12 during RE2 and grew up kind of distant from her parents and was used to being alone and on her own. She didn't witness her parents' demise either. Steve, at 17, was a dumb teenager who tried to keep a tough facade to both hide his true feelings and impress then 19 year old Claire. So far as we know, he grew up a mostly normal life with both parents and not only had to kill his own zombified father, but witnessed his mom die in front of him. He's not the best character by far, just stating facts and likely reasons.

Finally bought Zero and downloaded the theme. I like it's the save room theme. I wish we got this with REmake.

I guess the only other thing is Sherry does find out later, so it is worth keeping that in mind since it effects her in RE6 but I digress.

Yeah, and because of it (whole father impregnating thing) she's experimented on for most of her life. Going by her epilogue in RE3, I bet she felt a little down that Claire left her after the whole ordeal. Her only positive light after RE2 was Claire visiting her often while she was a guinea pig.

We need a game where they reunite, damn it!

I think what you guys hate about him is what I admire. I think the way he acted is one of the most realistic ways a human character has acted in RE let alone any video game. Obnoxious to hide true feelings of fear

Code veronica is my favorite in the series because of the Claire Steve relationship. I want Steve to return and resurrect.

Nope still a bad character though Code Veronica is still a very fine game

realism in RE is something we should never get. Because then we get stuff like Chris x Piers that said I stand by my Sherry statement and feel she beats him in that regard, and is still a good character on her own. And I have to say it, if Steve's behavior didn't actually tie into gameplay - specifically things like making you work for the lugers that he effectively steals off you after you save his life - I would be more forgiving. This is the main thing I cannot stand about him, and this is something I don't really like in games period.

To all picking up the Origins Collection like me, do you plan on revisiting REmake? I do, I wanna see that mansion in beautiful 1080p
