Sherry, who was 9, lost her parents during the events of RE2, and to far more traumatic circumstances - father turned into an ever evolving monster that impregnated her, and mother was killed by said father. Look at how Sherry turned out, and how she held up during RE2, and RE3's epilogue. Your argument is completely invalid at that point.
That not enough? Read my last post. 'one of the best characters' is a bad troll attempt.
Oh had my info wrong about her age, I misread her date of birth. She did witness Birkin's death...though he was G4, so yeah, and Claire B she did see Annette die before her eyes which she didn't take well. Everything else I guess works on Steve but the rest of his attitude was still the worst, and I can't stress enough I hate him for extending the game for stupid, arbitrary reasons at times. To be fair, Sherry was actually 12 during RE2 and grew up kind of distant from her parents and was used to being alone and on her own. She didn't witness her parents' demise either. Steve, at 17, was a dumb teenager who tried to keep a tough facade to both hide his true feelings and impress then 19 year old Claire. So far as we know, he grew up a mostly normal life with both parents and not only had to kill his own zombified father, but witnessed his mom die in front of him. He's not the best character by far, just stating facts and likely reasons.

But eh, so-so. At least you're being reasonable
I guess the only other thing is Sherry does find out later, so it is worth keeping that in mind since it effects her in RE6 but I digress.I know, in Claire B she gets to see her mother as she succumbs to her wounds from falling debris. However, the official canon is Claire A/Leon B, where William kills Annette and Sherry is unconscious the whole time. G5 Birkin is that amorphous blob that explodes in the train tunnel. At that point, kinda hard to feel any remorse

But...blobs have feelings too you know!
We do! Especially since Leon's reunion was kind of drab and meh, left me wanting more.Yeah, and because of it (whole father impregnating thing) she's experimented on for most of her life. Going by her epilogue in RE3, I bet she felt a little down that Claire left her after the whole ordeal. Her only positive light after RE2 was Claire visiting her often while she was a guinea pig.
We need a game where they reunite, damn it!
Thank you. This is what I was going to retort with.To be fair, Sherry was actually 12 during RE2 and grew up kind of distant from her parents and was used to being alone and on her own.
