Umm why is Michelle Rodriguez in Resident Evil 5? She died as a zombie in the first movie.

Yea well i also wouldnt want to them to stray far away from what made RE great. nobody wants a carbon copy. they just want it done right.

When i see these kind of messages i cannot help but think do people not feel that the RE Movies now are more "Resident Evil" than the games have been for years. The movies still follow the same character and outbreak from the start, havent strayed from Zombies and Umbrella (yet) and havent had 10,000 spinoff's to milk it.

When i read the movie deviating from the games i think the RE4 game is the biggest deviation in RE history. It has nothing at all to do with the previously set up franchise other than giving the characters look's and names of guys we knew from the survival horror games. Which is essentially what the movies are doing now except the movies still have the basic RE pillar stones of Zombies, Umbrella, the viral outbreak and trying to survive rather than exterminate/be ghost busters whatever BSAA are.

For the time being at least give me the movie-verse RE over the current (all though awesome) game verse RE for feel of sticking to roots.

When i see these kind of messages i cannot help but think do people not feel that the RE Movies now are more "Resident Evil" than the games have been for years. Plus, as much I enjoyed the SL from the games [RE0-RE Code:Veronica X] I think translating that into a movie would be pretty challenging. Having to cast new actors to portray Rebecca/ Billy [RE0], then Jill/Chris/etc/etc.... I think it would confuse a lot of non fan viewers. Basically they wanted to focus on one non game character [Alice] to be the main character of the movie universe with elements of the game. While sticking with Umbrella as being the main villian. IDK... either you love them or hate them. There's no in between.


JK. LOL BTW, Gwyneth Paltrow was in the running to play Alice. I'm glad Milla got the role!

Although I'm ahuge fan of Nemesis [he looks so cute in HD] he reminded me of RE Apocalypse with the whole camera/controlling thingy. I wonder how many people are going to say that Paul copied ORC. LMAO Like they complained about Wesker doing Matrix moves in the films. I think Capcom copied the Matrix first. Anyway...


Mostly the hate is Milla's character{& Paul]. Which people need to get over it.

From playing Re1,Re 2, Re4, Re5 and CV start to end for the last few months and also watching the movies! DL'ing the osts and buying HT Re figures as well as reading up on the game franchise loads on RE wiki.

Umbrella still played a part in RE4

That part being the intro to the game saying Umbrella is gone yadda yadda they collapsed so and and so fourth = so don't expect anything umbrella from the game we've moved on!

I am a massive fan of the games. 100x > movies. But im one of thoes people who can enjoy stuff people may be too ____ about aswell. I also dont suffer bull____ movies so im not totally blinded! I just think on this occasion that there is a false accusation going around about the movies not being very RE when general consensus about Re4 (especially when i read the HD thread) is that the 4th game was the best of the lot. And yet it is also the least RE thing to ever hit a television screen. Even more so than Extinction which had Zombies, Umbrella Lab's, Tyrant and the global infection. Sure, Alice had super powers... just like has been around in the games too. And Leon in Re4 is a bigger Ninja than Alice! He makes the power rangers look under flamboyant in some scenes.

I wasn't disagreeing to your post i was probing for different views. I have to do it every now and again when i see things that dont align right.
