Resin vs. Cloth - THE POLL! Marvel only.

Let's see where we stand on the issue.

This poll only applies to MARVEL pieces, so please, don't think about LotR, Star Wars or other more complex costumes when you vote.

The question: For quarter scale Marvel pieces, from now forward, if Sideshow decided to go one direction or the other, Comiquettes(resin) or Premium Format(cloth) which would you prefer?

Remember, the pieces would be identical in size and pose. The only difference would be the addition of cloth to the piece vs. sculpting the clothes.

C you forgot "Both". I really like both equally. It really depends upon the character.

IF ssc went only one way, then i'd have to choose resin/sculpted, since clothe just wouldn't work for all characters, while resin would work for all of them.

I went with the cloth...I just like the look better!

sculpted is the best, because CLOTH isn't a sculpture, and so to me, it isn't what a statue is made of. However, if the character has a cape or a coat or some part of his/her costume that would look too thick if it was sculpted, then in that case, that part should be made of cloth, to keep the thickness of that costume part more in scale with the rest of the piece.

Sculpted only as well. And since we're only talking about Marvel, I was never really fond of how the tights look on characters. Doom looks awesome, but the rest are just not for me

I like cloth on statues, but overall, I prefer fully sculpted pieces.

Since I love the way the captain America came out as a pf I'll have to vote cloth . But I'd love too see them try an iron man in cloth rofl!!!

Resin all the way! Cloth deteriorates, resin does not. Why pay so much for something that won't last forever? Cloth discolors, lost of details, not as vibrant, etc...

Just my two cents please don't hate me cloth fans.

I probably should have read the directions better because I was thinking resin vs. cloth as a rule and voted cloth because I LOVE the Star Wars PFs. The Red Skull and Doom PFs just wouldn't be the same if they were 100% sculpted and they look awsome with cloth integrated.

However, if I knew it was just Marvel/comic based, I would have voted resin. I think cloth for the spandex costumes do not always come out right.

PF is bigger, looks better and also cost more. Cloth all the way.
