I really like this show. Tracy Spiradakos is wonderful. Mmmm.
So much failure in this last episode, though. First, Charlie is about to barge through the door to help someone against an attacker, sand she has her crossbow with her and has used it effectively in much less important situations flawlessly, yet she runs forward with a knife??? WTF? The attacker has a gun in a shoulder holster! She brings a knife to a gunfight. Failure. Then she loses the crossbow in the scuffle. More failure. Then they overcome the attacker and run away without taking his gun! What?????? It's a nice gun, too, and they don't grow on trees in that place. Then the bad guy gets up and then captures one of the group. These people act like they aren't fighting for their lives.
Also, Charlie wants info from the stalker militia guy, who WAS in a cage, but they let him out to talk to him. Why??? Then he escapes! Frack that made me mad. It was so stupid it was virtually insulting to the audience!

The bomb the woman made looked so different than the place it was hidden, it was obvious that it wasn't like the others, yet it looked almost indistinguishable when she completed assembly earlier. Now anyone who saw it could identify it, and wouldn't you know it, one of the group did later, who had never even seen it before! Correct me if I'm mistaken.
There was also the ridiculous time the former Google "genius" knocked over the table that the pendant was on, so the captive could see it. Asinine. He knows what's at stake, yet he would have it out as in not in a secret pocket when the bad guy is in the same room? Dammit. They did this so that the bad guy captive could say he saw one and who has it, so then the militia will seek it out. Wasn't the dying wish of the scientist that exactly that be prevented, pretty much at all costs? With friends like him, who needs enemies?
Truly the most non believable episode ever.

OMG, you took the words right out of my mouth! Firstly I wanted to punch Charlie for following Neville, stupid idiot, she was lucky to get away with her story and then she decides to follow him?

Another thing was Danny getting the **** beaten out of him and then the next time we see him, he doesn't have a scratch on him AT ALL. After being punched in the face several times and not even a bruise?

Lastly, NOBODY was surprised that Nate turned out to be Jason, Neville's son. They wanted the big reveal to be at the end, but it was clearly obvious when Miles told Neville about the Militia guy he had - (besides how come Miles doesn't even recognise Jason, didn't he train all the Militia?)

Worst episode with some really terrible writing.

Yep, you are so right about those other things. I knew Nate was Neville's son the very first episode, and that he was on a special mission for him to track them, the entire time. It's so obvious. Why didn't they kill Nate in the first episode?
Following him? What did she expect to accomplish unarmed?
I don't remember the last time there was this much bad writing in one episode of any TV show. I think they set a new standard with this episode, "Soul Train". :lol

I tried to avoid spoilers by being vague.

It's a shame because I thought the show was getting better by each episode, but this one was just off the charts BAD! I've never wanted to smack so many characters in one show for making such stupid decisions. Aaron knocking the table over with the pendant IDIOT :lol

It's amazing these people survive more than one day with their stupidity :lol

So I finally checked this out on On-Demand. Got to see the first 5 episodes back-to-back. Surprisingly I liked it enough to keep watching (based on the promos I thought it looked like trash). I just honestly don't see this show lasting very long.

I didn't think it looked like trash in the promos. I did think it looked at a lot like one of those other post apocalyptic shows. However, there was a a subtle freshness to it with a likable cast, so I watched the first one and liked it. I agree though, that I do not believe this will last more than two seasons. This seems like a great concept for a miniseries. Find the brother, find away to turn on the power, rise up and restore order, and that's it. I don't know what they will do if they don't get the power back on. They already have the pendants. Since they have them, it is only a matter of time before they get the power back on.

If they had never revealed the pendants so soon, they could have milked the premise for years. Are they going to destroy the pendants and then they will be on a quest to find the schematics to make new ones? That could lengthen it. It would be ridiculous, but not as ridiculous as the episode, Soul Train.

Yeah, the most recent episode was it for me. Too many stupid, formulaic cliches just to keep dead plotlines going.

Yes, but they don't actually "have" the pendants, there are 12 out there and we only know the whereabouts of perhaps 3 of them (Aaron has one, Randall has Grace's and at least one of his own). Randall is obviously collecting them himself and Munroe knows nothing about it. It could take them years to find all 12 pendants.

Then there's also the different nations that have taken over the USA. The Munroe Republic is just one of them, there's also the Georgia Federation, the Plains Nation, Texas and the California Commonwealth. Other Nations are starting to move in on the Munroe Republic with word of the Rebels causing problems within.

I think they've got plenty to go on to last a few seasons. Battlestar had 12 cylon models and it took 4 seasons for them to all be revealed :lol

That's very fair. I would like to congratulate you on your astuteness.

I have forced myself to watch this. Am I the only one that really likes some of the ideas and characters, but think the show is just bad? It reminds me of the shows on USA where they have really cool concepts and the get really nice casts, then just have the goofiest ****ing writers. :dunno

I want to like it, but I'm with Devil, they need something to keep this afloat. I don't see it lasting, but then again what do I know, Jersey Shore and teen Mom made it multiple years and I thought it was the stupidest **** to ever hit a TV.

What I like
Love the premise of the show
think there are some great twists and turns with the monroe public, charlies Mom and uncle being ex head of militia.
Setting is great
Some great ideas

As you mentioned above even with all the great stuff the writing and actions are so idiotic. Remember when charlie stopped her uncle from killing the bounty hunter. She said you would kill a defense less man. Hell he was just hacking away at me with a sword for five minutes he was hardly defenseless. I am on the fence but still watching

Except that Jersey Shore is a train wreck of real people's contrived, preening for the camera escapades, and people can't look away from a train wreck. When it comes to a show that is about a fictional story unfolding, it is different.

Yes, how many men did he kill before that in the same episode? 20? 30?

I didn't think it looked like trash in the promos.

To be specific: I thought it looked like a cash-in on the whole Hunger Games craze with a young chick toting a bow and arrow/crossbow. It looked really lame (to me). I've never seen Hunger Games either.. so I'm comparing promos for that to the original promos for Revolution.

:lol:lol:lol

I honestly can't name a single original show I've ever watched on USA.

Oh, you should try one, in 15 minutes you'll realize that it must not take much to be a writer for a USA show. But hell, they usually stay on the air for years, so someone must like their formulaic and cliche beyond all reasoning shows they churn out.

I think Royal Pains has been great overall. There was that recent blunder with the break up of Divia with Raj, but other than that, it's been pretty great.

Suits is also great.

I agree. The show did look like the Hunger Games to me in the promos. The girl looked like the one from the movie, and so did the setting. I never saw the Hunger Games.

Suits is the only show I've ever seen on USA that seems well written and witty, but even it sometimes reverts to,"hey look how well this worked out just like we knew it would because its on USA!" Theres definitely a stench of familiarity on each of their shows even though the subject matter is vastly different. You'd almost swear they employ one writer doing everything. :lol

I mainly watch because of Elizabeth Mitchell. :lol

As for the USA Network, I enjoy Royal Pains and Burn Notice.
