well i kept my ears shut all week so i could watch the fight tonight for free. my observations:

1) floyd is a puss....don't get me wrong he is a smart puss and a champion but he has the talent to be a legend but he's too busy hiding and just allows brief glimpses of it. i understand back peddling and some holding but he is in the ridiculous realm.

2) hatton has no defense what so ever. i knew he was a brawler but c'mon dude, learn to move your head/body.

3) hatton forgot to throw to the body. floyd's left side was WIDE OPEN all night because of the way he turns when being punched. this could have been key to hatton.

4) hatton is a rock-head. he had no strategy but to punch. i knew he was a brawler and his defense is his offense but don't just walk straight forward and punch. he made no changes in his punches/strategy. floyd has a pattern when someone gets in close and hatton should have paid attention to the openings when he did his "turn and hide" defense.

5) hatton is not in floyd's or de la hoya's league.

just my opinion.

i wish the UFC would get picked up by hbo so they can show those fights so i don't have to pay to see their tournaments via PPV.

Floyd is a puss? I'd like to see you go one round with him. :lol

and i'd like to see you create a SS 12" figure...does that mean you can't give your opinion about SS products? :D

floyd would have to move up to light heavy/heavy weight or the commission wouldn't santion our match. i keep trying to get him to to move up in weight but he won't do it. c'mon floyd i'm waiting for you puss!! :emperor

I finally saw the fight this weekend. I agree with everything Vader Al wrote above. I just can't respect Mayweather as a legendary champ (which he considers himself) just yet 'cause he doesn't box like a champ. He only shows glimpses of his talent throughout the fight. This is what makes his fights boring; hence, I refuse to buy his PPV fights.

This fight was like all his previous fights. I'm still waiting to see the true champion in Mayweather which I know is hiding somewhere inside him. He has the opportunity to be a great, legendary fighter if he only fought and not ran (aka for Mayweather fan's, a great defense) the majority of the fight.

Perhaps it will happen should he fight Cotto, who is a true Welterweight. Hatton just wasn't the man to make Mayweather shine...but then again, that's why Mayweather fought him.

Well, Nash. As you can see, I was disappointed in Mayweather's performance. I just didn't see the "clinic" I had hoped for that would have convinced me that Mayweather deserves more respect than I have been giving him.
