Yes, as they scrapped the Eu warehouse years ago.

This thing is expensive as is, can't imagine having to pay another big chunk in taxes

It hurts me everytime someone mentions that once there was a EU warehouse, I'm so mad about the decision to close that. I started collecting SS stuff only three years ago and must have spent well over 1000 Euros in taxes and custom in that time. The latest DRoM alone cost about 200. Thank you very much again, Sideshow!

Why would they do that? Are they really saving that much to screw over the EU collectors like that?

I was around when there was a EU warehouse. When that closed I cancelled preorders for about $2000. It's strange a company SS' size can't have a EU warehouse when Weta has.

For a pf I pay approx $140 - 160 in importtax, customs and fedex fees

It is really crappy,to pay so much already then have another £120 to pay out on top of that

I wasn't even aware they used to have an EU warehouse until I read it somewhere on this forum when I first joined....man,it really stinks that they closed it,think how much money we plough into their company each year

Do local stores or websites sell Sideshow stuff? As i say i don't really buy from Sideshow anymore, unless they do something awesome like the Strider maquette, but i don't collect PF's or figures, and they cancelled the diorama line so as i'm a statue collector, Weta are getting all my money and they have an EU warehouse

Well, the link posted above is the regular, which has never been revealed as having a specific number made. 500 was for the EX.
