I know exactly how Bam feels. I lost my best friend when I was 19. He was more then a friend. He was like my brother. We were unofficial members of each others family. It's a terrible feeling.

As for the people picking up stuff to put on eBay......glad to see society never fails to disappoint in its disgrace.

You should be pissed at Dunn. What happened to him and his passenger is a stupid waste, and it's caused a hell of a lot of people a hell of a lot of heartache and pain.

However, you can't say anyone deserves that or anything close to it. I understand how you can think that, but to be quite honest, he didn't "deserve" to die. He deserved to get busted and thrown in jail and to serve his time to pay for his stupid decisions. The tragedy of this situation is someone else paid for those decisions with their life as well, but they both made bad decisions that night. Neither of them deserved what happened to them.

I reserve the death penalty for a very select few offenses, and I don't count this among them. Many of you probably won't agree with me, but I can't change your minds nor will I try to because your opinions are just as valid as mine when it comes to a subject like this.

He deserved the consequences for his actions. Imagine if you will, them first colliding with a loved one of yours, killing them, and then as is the case with most drunk driving, wrecking but lives. Being famous, he gets a huge fine and probation, basically a slap on the hand, while you're paying thousands for a funeral he couldn't give two ____s or a ____ about while rying to find a lawyer who won't drain your bank accounts to sue him. Meanwhile he's laughing and joking with his friends while in a "rehab" that doesn't even work. He gets out, goes right back to the same ____ again, then suddenly he's in another accident 2 weeks later for the same ____. He gets no sympathy. People who do this don't give a ____ about anybody else when they jump behind the wheel and drive in that condition. Why should I be pressed to care about him?

What gets me is the media people who come out in support of him BECAUSE he was a wreckless person that died and say that people shouldn't be cold hearted in these situations.

Its like the people who come out when drug addict rock stars overdose or something..."oh, so so tragic". Well, what the f did you say while he was f ing his life up?

Uh, nothing. What did his friends like Steve-O or Bam do for him? Hung out with him and had laughs while he got blitzed and did stupid things, act as inablers. Thats not what friends do, so I also have a hard time feeling sorry for his so called friends either, especially when they think total strangers ought to feel all bad and stuff.

The only thing I can take away from this is that I am glad he didn't crash into anyone else. 130 mph after a night of drinking? Seriously. Sympathy is hard for me to muster up. He could have damaged more lives than he did being so thoughtless and reckless.

Sorry no sympathy from me except for his friends and family.

Death is always tragic, and I do have some sympathy for any of those "taken too soon." But I agree with the gist of your sentiment. He put others' lives in danger, and for that reason, I'm mostly just glad no one else got taken out with him.

I would hope that the media would use this as a tool to teach kids about what happens when you drink and drive. In the abstract, it is easy to dismiss those arguments, but when you see concrete examples, maybe it could save some lives.

area schools should take the kids & show them the car. the schools here in ohio do this type of thing every year during prom season

How many of us haven't done stupid crap in our lives? We all have and most of us got lucky that we didn't hurt ourselves or anyone else.

What he did was stupid. I'll never say it wasn't, but for some to say he deserved it are out of line IMO.

Exactly. Firstly am I right to believe that it has not been proved he was over the limit? - the results can take upto 6 weeks...?
Like you say, we have all done wreckless things from time to time but to say he deserved what he got is sad.
It was silly and stupid and in the end very traggic.
I just hope they were both knocked out on impact and didn't suffer.
I cant think of a worse way to go.
RIP Ryan. My thoughts are with those closest to him.

I don't think anyone is saying he deserved it, just that they have no sympathy for him. There's a difference. Nobody DESERVES to die for doing something stupid, but if you do it, people aren't going to sympathize with you.

I feel bad that he and his friend died, but I have sympathy for his family and friends who are left to suffer.

He had almost 2.5 times the legal limit of alcohol in his system at the time of the crash and they're saying he was going 132-140mph.

Dumb, and dumber (and not necessarily in that order).

I feel for the loss of life and for those involved, but not the reasoning behind it. Stupid, careless, selfish and wrong, resulting in 2 lost lives. Like many others have said, I'm glad it wasn't more.

Even if he wasn't drinking, he was driving 130 miles per hour, which is just as bad and dangerous.

How long until Bam is starring in anti-Drinking and Driving ads? (not meant sarcastically, it SHOULD happen. He should use this to help dissuade others.)

Its refreshing to know high horses have internet access.

And also refreshing to see people make up blood alcohol levels when tox reports wont be in for a few weeks.

Gotta love the internet.:monkey4

Dude. Since I guess you're talking about me....

https://www.tmz.com/2011/06/22/cops...l-porsche-drunk-wasted-hammered-police-chief/

West Goshen Police Chief Michael Carroll told the Daily Local News ... Dunn's B.A.C. was .196 ... nearly two-and-a-half times the legal limit in Pennsylvania, which is .08.

Carroll added, "No other substances were found in his blood other than the alcohol."

As TMZ reported, Dunn and his passenger were killed when Dunn lost control of his Porsche, crashed in a wooded area and his car exploded in flames.

UPDATE: Now cops are saying Dunn was traveling between 132 and 140 MPH at the time of his crash.

:dunno

I'm not saying people should feel sorry for the actions behind it. I have already said it was stupid.....

However imagine if it was you father, brother or best friend for a min and everyone was saying in not so many words "he was stupid so F him". No one has come right out and been that bad about it, but there is a lot of negativity towards him. Yes, what he did was stupid. We all know that and so do his friends and family, but the "it wasn't my friend so who cares" attitude from some is poor.

Loss of life is loss of life if it comes from cancer, no fault accidents or being stupid. As I said how many of us have some stupid crap and gotten lucky? I've driven over 150 mph in my old Porsche before. Was it stupid? Yes, but I wasn't thinking I'd die or that anything would happen. People set out to have fun. Not to kill themselves or other people.
