Sorry if this has already been posted,
I find this funny... how apparently DK is supposed to be "intelectual" now...

"My whole thing is that that I saw 'The Dark Knight'. I feel like I'm dumb because I feel like I don't get how many things that are so smart. It's like a Ferrari engine of storytelling and script writing and I'm like, 'That's not my idea of what I want to see in a movie.' I loved 'The Prestige' but didn't understand 'The Dark Knight'. Didn't get it, still can't tell you what happened in the movie, what happened to the character and in the end they need him to be a bad guy. I'm like, 'I get it. This is so high brow and so f--king smart, I clearly need a college education to understand this movie.' You know what? F-ck DC comics. That's all I have to say and that's where I'm really coming from."

Robert Downey has the bAlls to say it..the DK is a very pretentious movie IMO...Its saving grace was Ledger's amazing performance ..everything else is crap.

Seems like an off the cuff remark to me. To me he was clearly joking and perhaps trying to ignite flames for funs sake.

Either way my respect for the man just went up..........Again!

I think it was just supposed to be a joke too. He strikes me as having a very sarcastic sense of humour. And honestly I'm a little befuddled by the ending too. I know they had to keep people from knowing Harvey went all Two-Face, but I'm not sure why Batman has to blamed instead of Joker covering his tracks for killing Rachel and attempting to kill Dent or something. And honestly (and I know this probably sounds stupid) the line about him not being the hero they need but the hero they deserve or whatever boggles my mind. The hero they need fits Batman to me because they need a hero willing to sacrifice himself for the good of the city. The hero they deserve makes me think of some second rate anti-hero. :dunno

I agree, along with Product Placing, and Bat's raspy voice,
I don't understand why the cover-up...

Basically Iron-Man is the big dumb movie and Dark Knight requires you to enter the cinema without leaving your brain at the door, I liked them both. In general I like DC and Marvel for different reasons....Downey was probably just piss-taking and there's nothing wrong with winding people up.
