Unfortunately it was just the regular Jay...was the Ex the goblet and table? Still got no idea of what to expect from this piece? I know you have it so does it live upto its huge secondary market price tag in your opinion?

Yeah the EX was the table and pimp cup. I got the reg for £550 and the Ex was going for over £1000. I'm sorry but there is no way in hell i'm paying £500 for a pimp cup

Looking forward to getting home and opening this baby up. WoW Jay...High praise you got for Doom...may have to go check out the Doom PF thread and get a little bit more excited! You got the Doom for a great price Jay...especially when you look at how much the regular can sell for. I got mine for just over $900 in brand new condition so i couldnt be happier! Only means i need to replace the money as the funds used to pay for Doom was taken from my pre order kitty!

Thanks Mamba ...as i was explaining to Jay, i wasnt actually expecting to get him for my collection. First reason was because of the rediculous prices he goes for and secondly because i thought that just by having the upcoming 1:2 LSF Doom in my collection would have been enough as a perfect representation of the character for my displays...so its a nice surprise to include the PF and looking forward to taking some pics of him this evening

I can certainly see why everyone calls this piece the holy grail...it is a work of art and deserves its title as one of SSC's best ever sculpts. Like the majority of the old school pieces from SSC such as the Cap PF, Thor PF, Hulk PF, etc...this Doom PF just oozes quality and presence...a very much welcomed addition to my collection and at $900 its an absolute steal!

And as per usual Jay you were spot on! It is what everyone says it is plus more. A true grail! So much detail, a great sculpt, lovely mixed media...plus the bonus hand gun and holster which is hidden away! It just commands so much respect as a collectable as they certainly wont make them this good ever again imo...so glad i gave it a chance

How good is the paint on that throne? It looks like brass doesn't it? Amazing it really is. Never leaving my collection ever! I said it when i bought it a few years back and that's how it stands to this day.

Many thanks Sarv I was very tempted by the Doom PF also but had no intention of adding it to my collection for $2000 i mean as soon as the Doom LSF was unveiled at SDCC last year i made my mind up that i'd give up on ever getting the PF and stick with the LSF...so when i got the PF for $900 i was literally pinching myself...couldnt miss that opportunity

Paint work i'd say is abt 9.5 out of 10. It's in immaculation condition for such an old piece and the chrome armour just shines when the light catches his body. The sculpt work on the chair alone is something to behold, Dooms throne has more detail in it than any of the chairs i have at home

Have you menaged to remove his gun from the holder Jay? I couldnt do it as its in such an awkward place. I've been told that many owners of the Doom PF dont even know its there!

I did try, even got as far as undoing the belt and sticking my hand under his top (no dirty minds here please! ) but couldnt reach it...like you said, no point removing it cos its not like your gonna put it in his hand is it...i'll leave it where it is i think
