Gotta say, i've been surprised a few times when unboxing various statues over the years but unpacking a 42.5Kgs giant Octopus is definately up there! With an ES of only 388 (XM's lowest edition size so far), the 1/4 Scale Namor Sub-Mariner by XM Studios is certainly a statue that requires A LOT OF DISPLAY SPACE! Its just magnificently huge and as you come to expect from XM Studios, each part of this awesome piece is packed with amazing paint application aswell great details in the sculpt such as the textured outfit of both Namors outfit and the actual Octopus...

Robertobagg10collection Thread 'COMING SOON' SS RETRO AND NEGATIVE ZONE SPIDEY PF'S

It's taken many years to track down all of Sideshows finest and rarest Marvel OG pieces...the last ones on my bucket list that i found extremely difficult to find, aswell as afford, were the Spiderman Premium Format Variants of the Retro and Negative Zone Spideys. Fortunately for me, both became available to me in roughly 2 weeks of each other and it was time to smash the piggy bank cos i wasnt gonna let the opportunity pass me by...this was literally the one and only chance i would ever have of owning these 2 grail pieces.

That was almost a year ago now and i still get just as excited knowing i have them in my collection as i did when i bought them! For me they are part of my OG collection which i'll never sell and also a reminder that if your patient enough (aswell as having a touch of luck) then you have what it takes to achieve your personal collecting goals!

Hey bro, great to hear from you! Thanks for the kind words as ever i'm totally made up to have all 3 Spideys in my collection as i know first hand just how hard they are to find...even harder living in the UK as only 75 were made of the Retro and NZ variants and i doubt too many owners of those pieces come from the UK.

Sadly not at the moment bro but its definately something i'd like to get done in the near future. Moving into a new home at the end of this year so fingers crossed All my pieces are currently in their boxes unless they're out for a photoshoot lol

So these 2 big guys are probably in my top 10 statues that i own in my collection. As much as i love the sculpt, weight and sheer awesomeness of the OG Hulk Premium Format, they also hold alot of sentimental value too. Like the Spiderman PF threesome i posted above, the OG Green and Grey Hulk Premium Formats aren't statues you come across everyday and usually they cost a kidney and a left arm just to afford one! So i'm definately attached to these pieces for the long run and cant ever see myself selling them. Same for the 2 Green and Grey Hulk vs Spidey Dioramas too...Sideshow at their very best!
