I'm sure there are examples before this, but I remember John Wayne dual wielding in True Grit. In the scene near the end where he puts the horses reins between his teeth and rides towards Pepper's gang dual wielding a pistol and a rifle.

Even if it's damn great haters will still hate it. That's how it works now. People form a negative opinion on certain movies and that's that, they're minds are made up, the movie itself is irrelevant.

At least they are going with a theme/message, whether it is as strong as the original is yet be seen.

Having said that, I think a lot of people don't see Robocop for the satire it is, I tried explaining it to my mum that it's actually a very clever film in a lot of ways. Not just some action fest, which it also is.

I think the quality of the suit has been brought up a few pages back, but adding to it, I can't help but look at that black suit and just see a man in a suit.

Whereas when I look at the silver one (and this has nothing to do with it being closer to the original) it looks like it could be robot/cyborg etc without the body being in there

I don't know why, it just looks more authentic, that black one looks like rubber.
