I think someone posted a while back that that's the practical suit and the face shield with the tiny visor gets CG'd on top of that. Don't know if that's correct though, I actually really like the look of that one, bare hand or not.

Ha ha, you know I've heard that Padilha has dissed the original so I tried to find a link on google and stumbled across this interview:



I actually found that quite interesting.

For one he actually praises the original and almost implies that his version could never live up to it.

And two he mentions that he filmed tons of people getting shot and "blown to pieces" and that the rating will just be what it is. So I wonder if we'll see a proper unrated version on blu-ray like with The Wolverine? The original RoboCop was an X before having to be trimmed to get an R for theatrical release. We have the unrated original available for home viewing, that'd be cool if the same holds true for the remake (assuming it's watchable in the first place of course.)

The Guy is great and has a real view and take on the subject.
Hes been saying from day one that he has only respect for the original and there was no point of trying to mimick it.
But fanboys and haters Will always be fanboy and haters...
Im sure the movie Will end up having flaws because of the studio.
Lets hop he managed to shoot what he wanted and that they Will release his cut down the Line.
Oh and i liked the lobby scene vs the ed209s
Cool fx, well choregraphied. Completely different from the original wich is he Best way to go.
Could be a cool entertaining flick

I was only 3 as well, but I still saw it and the 2nd film very young. I remember even seeing Robocrap 3 as a child, and even back then knew it was bad

The only thing good about RoboCop3 was the HT figure. The jetpack was ****ing badass and the removeable mask was awesome!
