I don't know, with some lines, they are at least close... the Supes is good, the Hicks are passable. I can't imagine that Clarence would be too bad to get... I'm hoping for an effort similar to Troutman.

Imagine they present us a 1/6 Robocop 2, better known as "Cain" tonight!! As a Robot fanatic, a must buy for me. A Boddiker would be cool too, but if I had the choice... It's a bit strange that we haven't had any hints coming from Asia for this misterious new Robocop item: I had seen pictures of Robocop and ED205 before they where for sale at SSC.

WHAT IS THIS NEW ROBOCOP ITEM???????????

Totally not interested... can't really tell if they changed the figure, the headsculpt might be different. But 3 was such a terrible movie, the only accessory worth making (maybe) the figure over would have been the jet-pack. Not just the cheesey gun hand

It looks really nice. Thank goodness they finally made something that looks cool that I don't HAVE to have. But I still think it looks great. Sorta like RoboCop.

Other then the new Gun Hand, what's the difference between this one and the first one?
If there's no difference, then I'm glad I had to cancel my order for the first one. With two of essentially the same figure out there, it should be easier and possibly cheaper to buy either version in the future.

Yep I agree. Really they should have made the hand removable and just made the one figure. Glad Sideshow doesn't do this sort of garbage.

Yeah... so unless there's a brand new head sculpt.... this sounds like the Sideshow Exclusive program backward. Rewarding people who didn't buy the figure the first time around and excluding those loyal customers who did.

They won't make Cain. I believe it was on www.robocoparchive.com where it was mentioned that the amount of tooling and intricacy involved in mass producing a Cain/MK-2 would be too cost-prohibitive.

As for the double-dipping here, yeah I agree that they should've included the gun arm the first time around. Still, I won't miss it in the least once I have my version 1 Robocop in my hands soon.

Still, you'd think they would've included the jetpack as well for this one. Oh well, my Kotobukiya one-coin series figures arrived today so I have my Cain, ED-209, and Robocop with flight pack (just in a very small scale...LOL).

I'm glad I couldn't afford the first Robocop, or I would have been dirty right about now.

I see Sideshow doing it with exclusives versions, even though the order may be different. They exclude me initially, and make up for it by offering the lesser regular figure. What's the diff? Sideshow are still in front in my book, by being up front about it, and doing it at a reasonable price. With the clamour for these Hot Toys and Medicom figures, it is almost right that there be an enormous price hike, sorry to say, but why shouldn't Sideshow get some sugar for all their tremendous efforts. They deserve it far more than anyone else, as far as I can see.

I agree. If the flight pack were part of ver. 2 then it might be worth while, but at this price point the additional "gun hand" just seems lame and trite. I am glad that I ordered ver. 1.

Thanks for the heads up about Cain. At least his way I can sort of figure out how to display Robo and Ed-209, and not have to worry about getting some freaking ginormous thing like...Jabba the Hutt!
