The biggest problem I had with TFA (other than being a remake) was Chewie's reaction to Han's death. He just saw his life long friend, His mate, The guy he went through so much, die at the hands of his son. And all he does is fire once and leaves town. Srsly. He should have shot that bowgunthingy until it was out of juice.

Shot his murderer, blew up the bad guys' house, picked up their buddies, walked right past his old bag to burn Han's porn stash and warn his goomad (probably the chick who gave Chewie a space band aid) to be cool at the funeral.

Mission f'n accomplishes like a boss.

Little miss perfect escaping with the "help" of James Bond was terrible.

I'll wait and see why she so fly.

Yoda 2.0 and cantina 2.0 are lame as well.

Meh, forgiven.

CGI emperor 2.0 is also lame.

I'll give you that -- forgot about him. Looks a little tired.

The main villain getting his ass kicked in the first film is also a disappointment.

I'll wait and see. To be fair, he's the only character Chewie's ever shot that lived, and he was bleeding out during the fight.

And of course, Han'd rubber body being flushed down the giant space toilet. Goodbye, Han! Even Harvey Dent got a goodbye speech...twice.

BB8 is cute though, and I like Oscar Isaac.

Agreed. Chewie is awesome, and will always be. Though he's probably glad to be out of that life debt, must be pissed that Rey just assumes the Falcon is hers now.

Adam Driver's acting alone makes TFA a great film.

The guy's fantastic.

TFA lacks any cringe inducing, embarrassingly bad moments like Sy Snootles and the Ewoks.

Most of Finn's "funny" moments made me cringe, but that's just me.

The biggest problem I had with TFA (other than being a remake) was Chewie's reaction to Han's death. He just saw his life long friend, His mate, The guy he went through so much, die at the hands of his son. And all he does is fire once and leaves town.

That was my initial impression also, but upon rewatching he does let off a few shots then blows the charges - about as much damage as he coulda done.

(Woulda been nice to see him finally pull some arms outta sockets tho)

Yup. Rey beats him in every sense - when he tries to invade her mind she forces him back. In their lightsaber duel she ultimately beats him. Regardless of whatever explanation you just shouldn't do this with your primary ****ing villain. Even Obi-wan didn't beat Vader in ANH.

Maybe over the course of the 3 films he won't be the primary villain. Though, redeeming him in the next film seems unlikely, as does killing off the most talented actor of the bunch.

Maybe but he was presented as the 'Vader' of TFA so the comparison is inevitable.

He can't be redeemed; he killed Han Solo -- great OT hero and his *father*.

Then again, Han forgave him in the end with that gesture (unless it was just a weak attempt to choke him out) and Vader was supposedly "redeemed" after repeated murdering of children, unarmed innocents and being party to planetary genocide. So who knows.

I predict he'll end up aiding Luke in defeating the real villain, which is probably this "Ren" entity Snoke & the Knights follow.
