I mean the empire's BIG, they can't possibly fit all their human resources in the death star, nor would it be smart considering how often it's blown up.

Maybe the Death Star accidently blows up in this film, thus killing all the deathtrooper, Shoretroopers, Scarif troopers, Hover tank pilots, the Imperial TIE Strikers, and any other toy they're selling. And then because of that tragedy the empire learns not to store all their action figures in one location :wave

Re: Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (12/16/16)

Endor had shores tho
Yeah but, we only see the forest.

Hmmm seems like they actually planned this besides making more characters just for toys... They knew we'd pick it apart.

I don't mind we get to see more kinds of troops unlike TFA and their VW new beetle version of Stormtroopers, at least these designs look like McQuarrie's.

And make a new death star without anyone noticing, there you go, we fixed it.

Don't forget about all the Shoretroopers, Scarif troopers, Hover tank pilots, or the Imperial TIE Strikers.

Are those Probots on the right side!? I've watched that movie so many times and never noticed Probots!

And if so, why would they bother gathering up Probots for the assemblage? Are they there to give the Emperor a colonoscopy later or something?

That's Vader's job.

That explains this deleted dialogue.

Regardless of all the behind the scenes drama of who directed what if the movie is a hit then Gareth Edwards will be the official director getting all the credit.

It's actually a WIN/WIN for him if you think about it.

Movie is good he gets the praise.

Movie is bad he'll just say blame Gilroy.

Yeah it cost them 4 billions and they have their formulas and their analytics, they will be fine, people will love it.

Re: Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (12/16/16)

No, Disney puts too much money behind their projects to have a truly "bad" film. Worst it could be is serviceable.

The cool rebellious kids won't like it....they'll spend weeks after the release enlightening us all on the evils of Disney's formulas in filmmaking....even tho by now anyone who visits the movie section just once is perfectly clear each studio brand has a formula.....good times ahead :yess:

Yup, can't wait to hear how bad the movie is from those who saw it 3 times in 1 week.

There has been some bad disney movies, but we will see come dec 15th, if they play it boldy by releasing reviews next week we will know if its good and bad if they dont allow early reviews until a day before movie release

Unfortunately, releasing a big movie with a review embargo has become par for the course.

But yeah, time will tell. No matter how good or bad it is, there will be people screaming from both sides of the aisle, there always are.

With the TFA, they lifted it two weeks prior to release date. I can see why they decided to wait two weeks before letting us pre purchase tickets since most sites dont allow refunds for last minute changes on any tickets more than 45 days but who knows, they are saying its second of all time to do it, it may bomb or it may not, im anxiously waiting to see this just for the empire and krennic, but deep down i know, disney down plays their villains for families sake. Either i will leave like nothing ever happened, or feeling joyous from what i watched.

They have too much riding on it for a bad film, by the fourth or fifth film we could see slippage in quality. Disney knows how merciless Star Wars fan can be in the Internet age.

No matter what it will oscar material next to the PT.

Yeah, they'd have to try and deliberately make a bad film to come close to something like AOTC.
