Re: Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (12/16/16)

It's that time where HT will start announcing the main character, one or two more. I doubt now at this stage they'll make Tarkin, Galen Erso, even Krennic's chances are dissipating.

The beauty of Tarkin is they can do him anytime, it's not like his character will ever be forgotten.

Does Tarkin speak in this movie? Do they digitally sample audio from other sources or simply have a sound alike?

They hired an actor to play him. His name is Guy Henry. I don't know if he's full on playing him or is a stand in with tracking dots where ILM will map Cushing on to his face.

well I'm thinking he has to get in to the tank somehow? Maybe he jumps in there for an hours session every day! To heal up quicker? I mean even when they put the suit on him at the end of episode 3 he looked like he was still writhing in agony.

My guess says it's still the emperor. still wouldn't make sense why he's kneeling though.

could very well be pre-bubble bath vader getting into his skivies. :lol

Spoil, what spoilers? What is there to even spoil? :lol

Krennic dies, most of the rebels die, the Death Star plans are sent to Leia, a planet is going to get destroyed, etc. The female Kyle Katarn, British chick doesn't even matter. She's fluff, she's fairy dust, she doesn't exist, she isn't real. She's a stock character that you're introduced to as a child to try and force the audience into being emotionally invested. We've seen it a million times, hell, we just saw it with Rey last year (little girl separated from her parents as she sees them leave from a distance). After next week it doesn't matter if she lives or dies, the end result is still the same.

Whatever happens, the Empire doesn't lose, Darth Vader doesn't die and the Death Star ain't blowing up. You're going to get a somber ending that's going to pale to this climax,

The fate of these characters are about as important as the secondary minor characters on a long running tv show like Walking Dead.

Then again, I suppose there are little Easter eggs that I guess could be spoiled. I'm sure there will be tons of references to the PT and OT scattered through out, from Obi-Wan to Jedi to Leia. But let's be honest, most of them have been discussed and have already been spoiled even if they weren't confirmed. So really, the reason people are going is for references and throwbacks to their old favorites.

Until they remake ANH and blow our minds by revealing that the Death Star in ANH was a Death Star 2.0 and the RO team blow up the original. :panic: :lol
