Re: Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (12/16/16)

My heart just stopped for a moment (and not in the good way).

I always feared Star Wars might go the Michael Bey way. Nothing should go the Michael Bey way. Nothing. Only thing worse is Renny Harlan.
Renny Harlin is a bargain bucket version of Bay. And that's saying something. :lol
Review the ****e out of it. Deglaze that ****er.

Re: Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (12/16/16)

Feeling nihilistic today?

I disagree, the reviews have clued me into a few movies I may have never watched without reading about them.

I was being sarcastic bro. Im always defending reviews here while other guys say looking at reviews is dumb.

Re: Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (12/16/16)

Michael Bay is random acts of explosions followed by slow reaction shots.

Ah yes, but for one glorious and shiny day my opinion shall create chaos.... it shall be debated, and scorned, and loved, and feared...

"Will the owner of a X-Wing class fighter please move your vehicle from the street. It is about to be towed away. Thank you."

Re: Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (12/16/16)

On another note, does anyone else think the U-wing fighter looks like the space
Ship from the 80's Buck Rogers tv show?

Re: Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (12/16/16)

Sideshow just released the Jyn regular and deluxe figures for Pre-Order and they show the Death Star plans "hard drive" or "data disk." Looks pretty cool.

Re: Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (12/16/16)

Like I said last week

Original Trilogy = for boys

Prequel Trilogy = for nerds (scientific crap like midchlorians, political crap like trade disputes and mythology with secret prophecies straight out of your role playing Dungeons and Dragons games)

Disney Star Wars = for little girls that surround themselves with token minorities so she isn't deemed a racist as they fight against the evil, emo, conflicted, but kinda cute, CIS white male

The Original Trilogy was a made by a man that was influenced by childhood favorites like Flash Gordon, westerns, samurai movies, serials, WWII dog fights, gunslingers, fast cars, a princess in danger clad in a metal bikini, etc. Target Audience, young boys that dreamed of flying an X-Wing.

You_Doodle_2016-12-09T03_29_30Z.jpg

Those kids "grew up" and most of them became losers whose life revolved around the properties they loved as children. Star Wars weddings, naming their children after Star Wars characters, useless trivia, comic conventions, storage bins full of toys. These people were the target audience during the prequels. Probably why the Jedi became sexless virgin monks and everyone acted like robots.

Now Star Wars has been bought out by Disney. It's all run by a buncha slacked jawed, liberal, cultural marxists, numales, women and the Toydarian producers that fund it all. The target audience are your SJWs, your gender confused youth, and people whose lives consist of nothing more than telling everyone that they're a disenfranchised victim and that their entertainment should mirror their identities and "plight". The dudes in their 40s and 50s don't even care because they still eat, play and sleep Star Wars to this day no matter what, just because it has that brand logo on it. People are pissed at Lucas for the prequels because all of his crew were "yes men"? Better than a committe run by a bunch of harpies that control every aspect from top to bottom based on their statistics and online data.

That is why your lead is always going to be a stronk woman that's instantly good at everything and invincible while she's surrounded by her sidekicks that pander to certain races (without any subtlety whatsoever).

What they don't realize is that it's all a ruse and it's really just a rehash of the older movies everyone has already seen, just with a hollow "diverse", factor thrown in.

Re: Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (12/16/16)

If its good, I really don't give a rats ass who the lead actor is, male or female, as long as they are a competent actor and right for the role.

Han Solo movie coming out, so don't worry, I've heard he's being played by a guy.
