Re: Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (12/16/16) *NO SPOILERS ALLOWED*

My mini review:

The movie starts with similar vibe as Inglorious Bastards. 1 hour into the movie, I'm trying hard not to fall asleep. I had to remind myself each time that I'm watching a Star Wars movie and not some random scifi movie with characters that are unrelateable. The only scenes I enjoyed were the Tarkin scenes and Vader scenes. Especially the last scene, which meant I only enjoyed bout 4-5 min during the whole 2 hours or so of the whole movie. This is worst than suicide squad, it gets a 5/10 for me. I'd not watch it again ever.

Ok, the Vader scene might be the coolest scene he's ever had in a film...especially after what the prequels did to the Vader character :D

Re: Rogue one: Spoilers confirmed! You are warned do no read these are real

The Vader scene at the end good then?

That's the only good part that I truly enjoyed. The others were the Tarkin and Leia bit.

The rest, not so much, I think this is the worst movie of 2016, that I watched in cinema. Suicide squad was better than this.

Now this scares me. I can't see how this can be worse than SS.

It's a very intense brutal scene. I Love it! LOL The musical score in it is amazing too

None of the characters are relatable; at least for me. I really tried hard to stay awake during the first hour or so, and was glad when the whole thing was over and got to see Vader in action.

TFA was miles better than this. It truly felt like I'm watch a SWfil. This feels like one of those good YouTube fan made films, the costumes etc were good, but it doesn't feel like a SW movie to me.

All 7 films have that SW vibe and essence to it for me. Even the PT ones.

I just don't feel the same for this one. Plus, there's no opening crawl, which was a huge let down. But I guess those could be reserved only for Skywalker family story line :lol

Re: Rogue one: Spoilers confirmed! You are warned do no read these are real

I'm actually liking that there are complaints that it does not feel like a Star Wars film as I think if they all had the same vibe then we will get burned out quick with one or two new films a year. Disney is going to milk us for every penny asap. I like the way the Marvel films have a somewhat different vibe then others although I am getting burned out on them and not really excited for any new one except Spider-Man: Homecoming. But even that film will be a mini-Avenger film like all the rest.

I agree with this statement, K2's was the only character's death that resonated with me.

But I will happily go see this again, and buy the Blu Ray. Couldn't say the same for Suicide Squad.
