Just got back from seeing it.... It's about time we got an adult Star Wars Movie, it was refreshing that they didn't add in any cheesiness of some of the other Star Wars movies... Defiantly up there with Empire Strikes Back as one of the best Star Wars movies to date... I'll defiantly be seeing this again, there was so much going on It was hard to keep on top of everything, defiantly need to see it a few times...

Michael Giacchino was the composer. This is the guy people think should take over when Williams retires.

that explains alot, my son said he saw Williams in the credits? Just a nod to the original themes ?

they really had a hard time with the CGI on Tarkin and Leia mainly the Eyes and it's too bad because Tarkin is in a few scenes.If you remember the 2004 film Polar Express I could not watch that film because of the Eyes on all the animated characters.It was so bad.But animators figured it out a few years later.So it's probably going to be awhile before they get it right in live CGI.

Vaders voice was not right in the film perhaps because the great James Earl Jones is 85 and his voice has changed a lot since the originals.Or they did not use the exact same effect on his voice used in the originals.His movement was not right at all..you could see Spencer did not study David Prowse's movements from the Originals.

last 20min are pretty good the Battle scenes are excellent.And the end when Vader boards Leia's ship and it's totally black then you see his saber light up and he's blocking like 20 laser shots and force tossing guys up to the ceiling.Very cool.

Polar Express and Disney Christmas Carol donot hold up today as the the technology has advanced and they really look horrible. The same with the CGI in the PT. If they want, they can always just upgrade the SFX every year or so until its perfect and no one would care. They definitely need to do it to the PT as they look horrible today after 10 years.

Sinking money into replacing ALL the CGI in the three prequels would cost so much money, they might as well just remake them.

Well that's a silly exaggeration, but it would be expensive as hell.

they might as well just remake them.

I might not be opposed to that actually. Take the story in a completely different direction. Give fans here the gaymance they've been wanting between Obi-Wan and Anakin -- would explain a lot. Start the trilogy when Anakin is a padawan and skip the kiddie crap. Have him turn into Vader in the middle movie. Have him terrorize the galaxy in the third movie hunting down the jedi but his old flame escapes and goes into hiding.

It was what Suicide Squad wasn't - a quality movie.

I might not be opposed to that actually. Take the story in a completely different direction. Give fans here the gaymance they've been wanting between Obi-Wan and Anakin -- would explain a lot. I'd be all for a remake. I can't see it happening but I like your synopsis.
