I'm glad they cut the scene of them all running on the beach. It just seems like it would have been too MCU-ish.

Chopper was in the movie also.

Yes it is and you also see it zipping around during the final space battle. You also see (and hear) Chopper the droid on the left side of the screen when the one Rebel runs to tell Mon Mothma that Admiral Raddus has gone to war.

Did any of you guys happen to catch the news yesterday when Trump was being interviewed on Air Force One about the attacks in Syria? Look what they were watching.

(Hopefully the fact that THAT scene happened to be playing isn't some sort of ominous real life foreshadowing. )

But I love that the cameraman was all "ooh Rogue One, let me make sure I get that in frame, the President of the United States can just be off to the side."
