Well I still like that Saw was the leader of this fringe aggressive rebel group but just cut out the Bodhi interrogation, not needed.

I wonder if Bodhi thought of Vader when Saw took a breath from his O2 mask, Bodhi made like a startled face.

Even the music builds just like the Toht hanger scene in Raiders. I'm certain Gareth was channeling that scene.

Also, Saw has the best sidekicks. Including the best character design: Benthic.

I do now think that the mini Bor Gullet scene should've been cut, it served no purpose. All Saw had to do was watch the damn transmission from Galen to know he was legit no need to read Bodhi's mind. He went and watched the transmission anyways so Bor Gullet accomplished nothing.

The Bor Gullet scene established how much of an extremist Saw was, he was willing to cause a man to go insane just to prove Bodhi was telling the truth, it showed just how far gone Saw had become.

Or he could've just watched the Galen recording Bodhi was begging for him to watch lol.

But I get what you're saying but his character's paranoia subplot got short changed.

Jyn were you sent to kill me, is this all a trap.

Bor Gullet was the Rebel extremist version of the mind probe used on Leia. Organic and horrifying compared to sterile and mechanical. The Rebel ground troops on Scarif were tasked with keeping the Imperials' attention away from vault heist and their getaway ship so they needed to be visible and constantly on the move (aside from the ones trying to activate the master switch of course.)

Good points! I knew Khev would set Jye's wife straight.

By the way, Khev, did you know that Bor Gullet has a brother, Bob Gullet...

I think Saw needed a few more scenes establishing that he had become a horrible terrorist in the beginning, maybe an attack on the Ring of Kafrene that killed a lot of civilians along with the Empire troopers after Cassian killed that rebel spy, just a bit something more. There was only a single line, maybe two, mentioning him as an extremest before his main scene, I don't think they did enough to establish the character.

JJ Abrams is supposedly a die hard as well but Gareth is a real super geek die hard.

I like Gareth as a director the guy just knows his ****.

Hey i'm also living the dream, Cannibal Campout will be playing at the Mahoning Drive In Theater in PA! :lol

Gareth is way hardcore, Gareth actually owns movie props used in movies including the model luke used in ANH at the lars homestead, this guy is on a different level we will never be without that kind of cash flow.

He gets fleshed out in CW & Rebels, but not everyone wants to watch those (especially when Rebels reminds you the Death Star is a Trade Federation invention!)

While watching the making of Rogue One I was surprised to learn that Hera from Rebels was mentioned during one of the Yavin 4 scenes.

I'm fine with those kind of references if they don't require explanation. For instance, during the Jedi war briefing in ROTS Quinlan Vos from the comics got a mention.

(He's one of the few survivors of the EU)

I like that Bor represents that but my point was that there was still no need to probe Bodhi.

He was practically begging Saw to watch Galen's recording to prove he was telling the truth.

He was even correcting Saw's men who kept twisting the story around.

Unless Saw thought by plugging in the recording it would activate and send a tracking signal or explode.

Hmmm, maybe I am wrong lol.

Regarding the scariff attack I agree.

Very cool did not know that.

Everything my the Star Wars fan I am and had the cash you better believe I'd have a few props from the OT.

lol

I will say this, isn't it nice only having minor stuff to nitpick and then even be wrong on them lol.

The simple plot premise and the fast pace it was afforded created a teflon thrill ride that doesn't allow any nitpicks to stick.

I have really fell in love with K2SO, such a geat name to say and one of the best written droids in a SW movie or any other sci-fi movie.

They definitely went a different and refreshing way with K2... even if he sounded a bit like Threepio at times. But his deadpan delivery was always funny.

One of my favorites is his indignation talking to the stormtroopers.

Of course my least favorite character has the best line -- Are you kidding me, I'm blind -- and the moment which makes me laugh the most -- when he's knocked down all those troopers and a whole regiment comes around the corner, and he isn't even facing the right way. (He's not really my least favorite)

One cool thing I noticed during the Darth Vader scene at the end of Rogue One is that Vader actually catches a laser blast from one of the Rebel Soldier's blasters in midair and throws it back at him, killing him. Kylo Ren, it turns out, was not the first person to do this.

Nothing will ever top iMO of Vader lifting the rebel up to the ceiling then slicing him in mid air with the two halves hitting the ground after :horror the most shocking Vader scene ever created , even more crazy than cutting Luke's hand off :lecture
