Snoop is one of us jye! :lol :yess:

And he came up with the idea of the soldiers being trapped and obviously filmed the sequence himself, even making calls with regard to minutiae such as backlight. So no more "the ending was taken away from him and the best scene in the movie was shot by someone else." Kudos obviously to Jabez for pitching the idea in the first place and Kennedy for signing off on it.

I'm thinking that Moroff was either originally a straight up Rebel like Pao and the monkey door gunner or that he alone escaped Saw's caverns and hitched a ride in Cassian's U-Wing.

I love Gareth's rationale behind his cameo as the rebel soldier.

My character survived the Vader assault and went on living in the OT. :lol

Smart cameo, one of the best.

What a dream job too for him.

I also love the rebel soldier that yells that order with such vocal strength it places so much gravitas to their dire situation.

I am just inherently predisposed to have a preference for OT SW characters and designs over GOTG characters and designs.

I grew up with SW.

Then even SW gets broken down into priorities.

But I just don't see the stakes in GOTG being as profound or thrilling as they were in RO.

Vader Krennic scene > Starlord Father scene.
Vader assault > all of GOTG fighting together
Rebel Fleet > Nova corps fleet
Jyn Cassian deaths > MCU definition of death

Yeah i'm not being fair to GOTG2. :lol

Besides I already know Wor-Gar won't be choosing GOTG over RO so I know i'm on the right path lol.

Just watched it again. Such a great movie. Only gets better.

Word. jye you *might* want to consider having your wife watch it again. I'll let you be the judge of whether that'd be wise or not. :lol I say that because when my kids and I saw it opening weekend my daughter ranked it dead last among all SW films (behind the prequels even!) Her reasoning was that it felt "too different," she had a harder time following the story, and that the final battle was so intense that she literally had painful knots in her stomach when it was over. So apparently the different tone coupled with less black and white characters and actual physical pain was just too much for her. :lol

But then we went and saw it again when they brought it back to the 15/70 auditorium for one last week near the end of its theatrical run and on the way to the theater I basically summarized the movie's plot just to hopefully fill in whatever gaps she had. After just her second showing she came out of the theater ranking it first! :rock Massive turnaround there.

Yeah I lol'd at his description of the importance of his character to the overall saga. I watched that scene again after his interview and he actually does a great job in it and doesn't in any way call attention to the fact that it's him *couchMNightShyamalancough*.

I also love the rebel soldier that yells that order with such vocal strength it places so much gravitas to their dire situation.

Yeah those final moments of the Rebels scrambling as the final door closes in front of Vader as he's mercilessly swinging his saber one-handed, slicing through them amid those shrieking screams. Then the final "Laaaaauuunch!" as little Gareth runs for the lever. Just fantastically done.

Yeah nothing GOTG2 can come up with will make me like it better than RO.

That's pretty much how I feel about all future films at this point. :lol

But I am glad that movies like GotG/GotG2 exist. Nice that folks who prefer jokey joke movies shot entirely in front of blue screen have something to look forward to as well.

That "Launch!" alone with that british accent makes the movie lol

Seriously how can a cgi Racoon beat that.

Simple, it can't.

Yes the movie has a surprisingly good group of panicky British guys that really sell the intensity of the action.

"Those are Alliance ships!"

"Close the shield aperture! Now, now!"

"Come on come on come on!"

"Rear thrusters, full power!!" *crash*

"Open fire!"

"Help uuuuuss!"

etc.

:D
