Best lines were.....

"There is a problem on the Horizon"

And

"Are you kidding me, I'm blind..."

3rd viewing now....still holds water.......I like the background universe they created on each world....so much better than the cgi crap .....

Yes. I love watching the background extras when Chirrut is beating on all the Stormtroopers in Jedha. Before the fighting starts you see Troopers questioning citizens on the outskirts of the courtyard. Then when the shooting starts the Troopers rush in and the citizens hide but you can see curiosity getting the best of them because they keep peeking from their hiding spots to watch the commotion only to duck periodically as stray blaster bolts fly.

It's amazing how many spoiler tidbits are in the first 2 RO trailers.

They show Cassian and Jyn already friendly to each other with Jyn asking "are you with me?" and Cassian answering with "All the way!"

Plus Bodhi's ship getting blown up, Jedha destroyed, Jyn's Scarif speech of taking on the mission one step at a time and so much more!

Yet thankfully it had no perceivable negative impact on the movie.

I love that Gareth is so old school that he still refers to Leia's ship as the Blockade Runner which was the nickname given on the 1977 Topps cards. The "Tantive IV" official designation wasn't added until the 1981 Radio Drama.

But that was when we all thought she was going to "become" an evil Tie Fighter pilot at the end which really warped the context of all those other scenes. :lol

Its those wild theories that breed alot of problems. Some folks get attached to some of the ideas because they like them...then when the film is different ...they poo poo it cause it was unexpected....

I fully expect TLJ to fall into this category.

Some expect to study the trailer religiously when in fact they changed like 95% of the resulting context.
I believe trailers should follow the formats of teasers now days, short zero plot holes, and concise.

Even toys can spoil storylines in fact so much that Lego is notorious for this, but force friday will reveal a lot I think.

Yeah but thank goodness they *didn't* keep Jyn's "I rebel" line in the movie. That was the one truly cringeworthy line of dialogue.

I agree wholeheartedly.

I also liked Mon's "A major weapons test is imminent".

But going back to Krennic's "Power is immeasurable" line I have a feeling where they were going with it.

I suspect it was so Vader could turn around and shoot back that the power of the DS is insignificant to the power of the force.

Guarantee it.

What else could've it been used for?

So for that reason I am happy they didn't go with it.

But I love Krennic's mannerisms when saying that line in trailer 2, his left hand movement. He is so evil there.

I get the urge to watch this movie almost every day.

Heck yes. I'm at about a full beginning to end viewing every 3-4 days or so. There's just so much to savor on all levels.

The only line that I wish was different in the final film is when Bail tells Mothma that Obi-Wan served him well in the Clone Wars. I just think it's too on the nose of a reference to Leia's hologram message in ANH. I don't really like it when characters reuse phrases of other characters unless they are deliberately quoting the other person for effect. Bail's line isn't as bad as when Han quoted 3PO's "delusions of grandeur" phrase in Jedi but it's in the same ballpark IMO.

You might be right about Krennic's line if it was going to trigger that particular response from Vader. I really like how in RO Vader danced around the topic of being unimpressed with the DS's power without outright copying his dialogue from ANH.

I have decided to try to watch this again despite fighting to stay awake in the theater. Perhaps the second viewing will be better for me.

Swear to god the word ''Rogue'' should just be deleted from the English language. Everywhere I look it's ''Rouge One''. I mean lets just throw in the towel on this one. Change the title of the movie so that 95% of people will finally be spelling it right. Currently the reverse seems to be the case.
