Extremely late on this movie, but I just watched this on blu-ray for the first time - and I'm glad I didn't go to the theater or pay for it (we borrowed it).

This movie was pretty mediocre to me - the characters being the biggest problem. I thought they were flat and uninteresting. I at least wanted to like Jyn, but she was so "meh" I just couldn't manage feeling anything for her even. I liked Chirrut, I guess. But that's about it. The hype for Krennic turned out to be for nothing. CGI Tarkin looked terrible to me - took me right out of the scene. Too much of him when they could've built up Krennic.

Because I wasn't engaged with the characters and knew how the story would end, I was bored by it. I don't think I would ever re-watch it unless I felt like doing a full Star Wars marathon.

It was better than the prequels. But it doesn't even come close to touching The Force Awakens or the OT for me.
