I still can't believe a scene this powerful exists in a SW movie!
We only see Alderaan blow up from the coldness of space but here we get to see the human casualty up close and personal.
TFA new Rupublic planets destroyed by Starkiller only showed a quick second of unknown people on the balcony but RO is much more powerful to watch because Jyn and Cassian were the primary characters!

It might literally be the most bittersweet end you could have for any couple. Even moreso when you consider that in Jyn and Cassian's case that it was the first meaningful hug for each of them since they were children. Like you said it's pretty mind blowing that we got a moment like this in a SW flick.
