Six weeks of RESHOOTS bringing on new writing and directing talent is not "at the slightest breeze". ... in any universe.
And you might want to think about the difference between *Pick-ups* and *Re-shoots*.

Pick-ups are sometimes planned in advance, but not reshoots after Disney execs decided they didn't like it.

But, that's not what's going on, McQuarrie himself said he's not involved. So, the story is a fabrication. From what I read, there are no "re-shoots" going on.

And who is this new Director?

Again, read the story, because "Disney not liking it" is just not the case. You really should read the article before commenting.

I find it funny that some on here put more credence into an article with only "anonymous sources" than when somebody who is pointed out in the article as being involved, calls it BS.

I guess some of you just want to believe there are problems, your just Drama Queens.

In the article EW does confuse "re-shoots" with just additional shooting. They aren't reshooting scenes, they are shooting new footage to be inserted into the scenes.

Exactly- this is a MAJOR revamping of the film and it looks pretty good that Disney wants many things tossed. This is far from typical. Clearly the film has issues on a larger scale

Maybe they'll add a scene where Darth Vader emails the Emperor pictures of Boba Fett, Bossk and IG-88.

That's reshooting scenes, changing the tone of the performance and adding more levity. Shooting pick-up's is when they decide in the edit they need connective tissue between shots, elements which help tighten the edit. Not.. new performance/script/dialogue/tone. Listen mate, Disney did not like movie, there may have been pick-ups planned from the start of the production but that has turned into 6 weeks of new shooting, rebuilding sets, new dialogue, new script and a new action director (who is friends with Marshall) being brought on to "help" Edwards.

Make of that what you will, but I think you have already made your mind up.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying it isn't possible that it's true, but I'm highly skeptical of it.

As someone said before, nobody on this board knows the truth, and I suggest you take these reports with a heavy dose of salt.

They are turning a star wars war espionnage movie into a family friendly flick.

And we Will never get to see the original cut.

Source: someone at Latino Review says they know a guy who says he talked to his friend who says he's working on Rogue One.

My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who heard someone at 31 Flavors last night say that Disney hated the script and is doing re-shoots.

I guess it's pretty serious.
