Top two look like set stills from a SyFy tv show:lol

I think pic two is really cool. I do understand the hate though, there is something about everything from this movie that we have seen that seems human manufactured, not SW really. Zips and ****. They seem to have missed Lucas' timeless design aesthetic.
:lol

Everything EMPIRE related looks great.
Everything non-EMPIRE related does not.
Don't tell Disney!

Re: Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (12/16/16)

The Rebels look like Rebels and the Empire looks like the Empire.
My worry is the story and the characters not the visuals.

To paraphrase a bad movie... "Pizza is like Star Wars, when it's good, it's Really good, but even bad pizza is still pretty good."

Agreed- but many many things like Battlestar Galactica and such have jaded us on that design aesthetic...

Apparently Star Wars has caught on in popularity in China, or at least Hong Kong. My sister-in-law came to visit us last week, and brought me this gift...

She told me that they are very hard to get and are very sought after, especially with the younger generation. Anybody who knows China, knows they take their Mooncakes very seriously.

She told me the recent movie was a big hit, especially with those under 30.

Will be interesting to see how the upcoming movies do there.

I don't know what to think about this yet, I think it's one I'll just have to wait and see how it turns out on the night.

I imagine this time next year most people on here will be dropping over $300 on the RO/ANH v2.0 two minutes of screen time Vader though. It's inevitable. :lol
