if it comes in looking near the protos, I think its a "Reasonable" price, as much as any almost $200 toy can be considered reasonable.

If I was a big "Gladiator" fan I'd be all over it even though its not licensed. Its as good as anyone will ever get short of some $500+ custom from Serang or whoever.

That said, I think I'd rather collect their Spartacus figure as I like the arena theme better than the warfront.

Those curious about the King Toys U-Boat Head sculpt. I think it rocks!

That sculpt really does look nice. Wish the eyes were more straight forward, but looking out the sides could make for some nice poses also. For less the $30 bucks a real good purchase too.

Thanks! Yeah the eyes are bit of a let down, but since Ill probably only pose him standing looking off to the side like any way, so this works for me. And for $30 is a steal in my opinion!

Ive never bought an ACI Toys figure before so I dont know.

It shows the body it came on. And Im assuming it looks like it would work with a standard HT True Type.

It is a fair bit for an unlicensed figure, though EB's Che figure was unlicensed with an MSRP of $170. EB managed a better likeness of Che than ACI have with Crowe, but the demand for a Maximus would be a lot higher than that for Che. It is a limited edition release too, so once it's gone it's pretty safe to say the $180 will look pretty good a few months' after release. I got mine for $160 shipped, so I was more than happy to press the button.

I find the real leather and metal to be unwieldy in 1/6 sometimes. Either way, I think this figure looks great.

The bodies and head, yes. But you're still getting metal and leather for close to $100. This figure, as it stands, is overpriced. Especially given it's not even licensed.

I like the look of the ACI Armor better, if fact the whole outfit is really put together nicely. The detailing and weathering. If someone was to custom make this Armor, it would cost a pretty penny.

That Kings toys sculpt does look good, but I think I'll be alright with the HP head after I repaint it a bit

Like others here, this will be my first non-HT figure in a long time. The detail on the clothing/armor looks to be pretty incredible. Put a preorder into Monkey Depot today.

So out of curiosity I have recently purchased both the HeadPlay and King's Toys heads, having just received the later today. I also own Spenser's Maximus.

There is no question the King's Toys is the best likeness of the three. The HeadPlay sculpt is unmistakably Crowe, but looks a bit youthful to be Maximus in my opinion.

That kings toys head looks really bad IMO. I've wanted gladiator for a decade and a half but before I buy anything I'm waiting to see what iminime comes up with.

I agree with you. I think it looks more Crowe than any of the others I have seen.

I excitement of getting my King Toys Head sculpt and the ACI Toys General I was messing around in photoshop.

I think the head needs to be a bit bigger...but it gives an idea...
