Im really looking at getting a different head for this once I have it since the ACI is close...but the shape is...off or something...

I like the King's Toys U-Boat head sculpt, it has that right shape, but then I dont know about those eyes and the paint job...

I really like the over all sculpt of the HT NSW Gunner figure, but that one is impossible to find and I would need to have it repainted as well...

Gah...choices choices...

I'm gonna sculpt some new boots as that is really the only thing that bugs me about this fig.

I can't quite see the detail in the promo pics myself, but they do look... modern. And missing spurs. Keep us posted Crimsonbob

Well you're obviously an old hand at this, but when the owner of the company announces in a collectors' forum that the production run will be based on POs, and that it's a limited edition anniversary figure, and the figure is one of the more anticipated figures in 1/6 with every likelihood of selling out... maybe it's just me and my new-collector nerves, but I like to PO a figure like this to secure one come release time.

When you receive the figure depends on when the store gets the stock in; but given that KG Hobby are in Hong Kong, I'd expect they'd get theirs reasonably quickly. There are two shipping options, Registered HK and EMS. EMS is faster but will cost an extra few bucks.
